Chapter 1 - Chapter 1-The beginning

Today is September 10th. It was my cousin Sunny's wedding, so we all headed out in the evening. I was wearing a black kurti and silver jewelry—like jhumkas, gothic rings, bangles, and desi shoes. Ever since I was a child, I've been obsessed with guitars and bikes; I always wanted to be a rockstar. I own a guitar and a bike, so I took my parents to the wedding on my Ninja Kawasaki bike.

When we arrived, I started feeling very bored. I slipped into an empty room and began playing my guitar. I was playing the guitar riffs of Type O Negative's 'I Don't Wanna Be Me,' when suddenly, someone came in. I looked up and saw my cousin, Jackson (who is also called Judas in some places). He was also dressed in a single black kurta with silver jewelry, including rings, a necklace, and a lip piercing.

He turned around, and I saw him. I looked at him, and that's when something shifted inside me. He was incredibly handsome. He raised an eyebrow and started to speak, saying, "Nirvana? Is everything okay? Whose guitar is this? Do you play the guitar?" he asked.

I was just staring at him. My cheeks were red, and my heart was pounding a million times a minute. I finally nodded and said, "Yes, I do. Do you also play?" He nodded and replied, "Yes, a little. Though I didn't know you played." A smile spread across my face because we had never spoken about anything like this before; we were quite distant. "So, what's the name of your favorite band?" he asked. I said, "The Cannibal Cult."

He nearly choked on his own spit, his eyes wide as if he'd seen a ghost. Then I asked, "Hey! Are you okay? Did I say something wrong?" He shook his head while coughing. "No, nothing is wrong. I was just shocked that you actually have a good taste." I raised my eyebrow. I wasn't that stupid; I knew he was being deliberately challenging. "So, if 'The Cannibal Cult' is your favorite band, then show me! Play the guitar for 'The Bats' song." he said with a smirk. He challenged me to play their band's hardest song.

And I started playing nervously then I asked, "How was that?" Then he added, "You play well, but it would be better if you played it this way." He moved closer to me and put his hands over mine on the guitar fretboard. It was actually incredible, and a thousand explosions went off in my heart. My heart, which had been beating so fast, calmed down after he played the rhythm. "It will be better if you play it this way."
