"Leader, what's wrong?"
Illena asked with some confusion.
They were called out of nowhere, and there could only be one reason. There was going to be a lot of casualties.
But hadn't they become Rank 1 heralds just a few days ago?
Ranks were something Adam made up during his travels.
The idea was simple. By regulating a certain amount of Chakra into one's body, the herald would be ranked.
For example, Rank One Herald could use Chakra to create nearly hundreds of illusion spaces.
But if they use Chakra to do something else, their Chakra would be used too fast.
And in a single, they could only produce a total Chakra equal to a hundred illusion space.
Their production was based on their level. Because this was directly connected to Kurama, who could oversee their progress.
The more contracts they gathered, the more Chakra he would send, directly increasing their ranks.
This wasn't the same as Ancient One. In fact, the moment he realized just how potent his Chakra was, he kept diluting it.
This dilution process was a bit tedious and incomplete.
The same amount of Chakra could produce hundreds of illusion spaces, but could be used four or five times during a combat.
Adam turned his head away, and others followed. They saw a massive explosion from several kilometers away.
"Once you pull someone into the illusion, do your best to be as nonchalant as possible. It doesn't matter if they don't sign the contract."
"But once they leave the illusion space, they will not remember anything. And, you will only save those who signed the contract."
Hearing that, Boris narrowed his eyes and said.
"Leader, are you trying to set an example?"
Adam chuckled and took out his phone.
"I planned to live broadcast this event. Of course, with their technology, it wouldn't take them long to take down the video."
"But they forget one thing. Science and Magic are just two sides of the same coin."
"If they can sue technology to take down the video, I can use magic to put it back. I even suggested to my Lord to create a spell just for this purpose."
Hearing that, Illena couldn't help but complain.
"Leader, aren't you the strongest herald of Lord Kurama? Why are you trying to be a YouTuber?"
"Hey, I am using my own app."
"What? You have an app?"
Illena was stunned. She didn't expect him to create an App just for the broadcast.
"What do you think?"
Of course, he didn't have one. He planned to buy one.

While moving, Adam gave them information about the current situation and what they needed to do.
"Alright, we have arrived. You guys do your job." Adam stopped in front of a street that was half-destroyed.
There was a huge creature, body similar to Hulk, with bald head, and a lot of muscles.
He growled.
"Give me Hulk! Where are you, Hulk? Are you just a coward?"
He kept smashing the ground, cars, and throwing large rocks at the buildings.
Several soldiers were trying to shoot at Abomination. Even police officers had gotten out of their cars just to attack Abomination.
Unfortunately, their bullets couldn't do anything to a monster like him.
He tore through a huge vehicle and smashed the half towards a group of police officers.
At this moment, those police officers were simply waiting for their deaths. They couldn't deflect the attack, nor could they fight back.
But suddenly, their visions were diluted, and they found themselves in a peaceful white space.
And, a teenage girl stood in front of them.
They tried to move but were unable to do so.
"Don't try anything! This is your soul after all. Right now, you are facing an attack from Abomination."
"Abomination? You mean that monster?" One of the officers asked.
"So, who are you?" Another officer asked
"Who am I does not matter? Who I represent matters. My Lord wants your soul. So, I am here with an offer."
She said and took out several of the contracts.
"If you sign this contract, I will save you from this disaster and take you away. As long as you go away, you can live, return to your family."
"If you do not, I will not save you."
One of them had already grabbed the contract and signed.
"So, I am saved?"
He asked while others looked at him as if he were a crazy person.
"What?" The man who signed the contract looked at them with confusion.
"Are you crazy? Why are you signing a contract without even looking? What if a Devil is after your soul?"
Another policeman shouted.
Illena nodded her head and said.
"Of course, he is after your soul. But he is not a devil. He is just giving you a chance of survival."
"As I said before, I am the herald of Lord Kurama. I will not save anyone who doesn't sign the contract."
"Also, Abomination has already attacked. The faster you sign the contract, the safer you will be."
Hearing that, the police officer asked.
"What does that mean?"
"I can not defeat Abomination. I can take you to a safe place since he only threw half of the truck towards you."
"But if you take too long, that part of the truck will be too close for me to dodge it. So, I will have to face it to protect you."
"That will be the end of the deal. And, after that, Abomination will still be there, and so will you be."
Illena explained.
Hearing that, the police officers felt horrible.
On one hand, they had to sacrifice their soul to save themselves. On the other hand, they didn't even get enough time to think about it.
Most importantly, they weren't even sure why they believed in nonsense like this.
Maybe it was because they were ready to face death.
Soon, several of them signed the contract, while a few didn't.
They still believed they should belong to God. They were people who had protected others for years.
These people firmly believe God had a place for them.
And the moment illusion space disappeared, Illena flew in, grabbed four people, and flew away.
Although they were heavy, she was enhanced by the power of Kurama. Even without using Chakra, she could easily lift tons of weight.
She flew several kilometers and dropped them on the ground.
"Officers, you should just focus on saving people, not fight a monster like that."
Illena saluted them and flew away.
"Wait, who are you?"
One of the officers immediately shouted.
Unfortunately, he didn't get a reply.
"What about Andy, John, and Tyler?" Another officer spoke with a horrified expression.
Another officer shook his head.
"We survived because she scooped us away. She is right. We can not face that monster. We need to save people. That's our job."
Another officer spoke with a serious expression.
His fists were clenched, showing his unwillingness to lose his comrades in a battle.
But despite this, he steeled his heart to protect other people.
Illena wasn't the only one doing this job.
Boris, John, and Monti were doing the same job. Because of Abomination's power, it was causing a lot of destruction to houses.
And, many people were buried under those houses.
Fortunately, many of them weren't dead.
Boris manipulated Earth, pulling those people out of the debris.
John used his super strength while Monti used explosions to fight Abomination.
Monti had used signed contracts with the military soldiers.
Most of them didn't sign, so he only saved those who signed the contract and left others to face Abomination.
Their arrival didn't make the situation better. It only made the situation more chaotic.
Because nobody knew who was being saved and why, only a few individuals were being saved.
But the drama was happening somewhere else. On a helicopter where Betty Ross, Thaddeus Rose, and Bruce Banner.
Three of them were having an argument.
Banner was ready to transform into Hulk and fight Abomination, and Ross agreed to it.
But Betty didn't.
She was pleading with Banner not to transform, as she knew this would only trigger Hulk's appearance faster.
"Wow! This is quite a rare sight to see. Lovers are fighting while the girl's father is supporting the boy."
A chuckle came from the side. It was a seat in the corner of the helicopter.
When Ross heard him, he immediately took out his gun and pointed it at him.
"Who are you?"
"Let's not bring such a dangerous item here."
Adam used the telekinesis to pull the gun into his hand and dropped it to the ground.
(A/N- Although both Betty and Thaddeus are Ross, I will use Ross instead of Thaddeus.)
"General Ross, why don't you sit down? We can talk about the matter of stopping Abomination."
Ross didn't follow his advice instead asked.
"Are you a mutant?"
"Maybe I am, maybe I am not."
He looked at Betty Ross and said.
"Miss Ross, would you like to sell your soul to my Master? In return, I can solve that big guy out there and give some advice to Mr. Banner here about Hulk."
