Chapter 27 - Chapter Twenty Seven

Aurora's POV

Hearing the confirmation was all I needed. It changed everything I thought I knew and made things far clearer.

Appearing after ten years of being killed was something I couldn't explain, but this made so much sense.

She had been living my life for a decade, walking around as me.

"Why pretend?" Salem asked with his weapon drawn, prompting Valerie to come down from her horse. "You could have taken down my men the day we captured you, but you didn't."

A thought went through my mind because the other side didn't appear even during the first time Salem attacked us.

A cold chill spiraled through my back as I stared at his blade. It felt almost like fright. There was something about the weapon that repelled her.

"You come one step closer and I will tear you apart," Kane threatened fiercely, drawing his dagger.

Rod growled menacingly by his side and it was us against just him.

But I still couldn't understand why it felt like an unfair fight… to us.
