Chapter 202 - THE MAN WITH NO NAME

Kael Veyris did not announce his departure.

There was no decree, no farewell across the multiverse.

One moment, the Empire stood perfect and eternal

and the next, its Architect was simply gone.

Not erased.

Not sealed.

Just absent.

He woke beneath a gray sky, rain tapping softly against stone.

No aura flared.

No laws bent.

No dragons stirred.

Kael sat up slowly on a narrow bed in a small rented room above a quiet street.

Human world.

Low mana.

Limited causality.

Perfect.

He looked at his hands ordinary. No scales. No light.

Just a man with silver black hair and calm eyes that felt a little too old.

Kael (quietly): So this is how it feels… to exist without weight.

He took a simple name.

Worked a simple job.

Drank tea at the same place every morning.

People found him comforting.

They didn't know why they trusted him.

Why arguments stopped when he spoke.

Why bad luck never lingered near his table.

A child once asked him,

Mister, are you important.

Kael smiled faintly.

Not today.

From afar very far he felt the Empire continue without him.

His wives ruled flawlessly.

Lyra's destiny unfolded, strong and steady.

The multiverse… behaved.

No one panicked.

And that mattered.

Kael (to himself):

Good.

They don't need me watching every second.

One night, he stood on a bridge, watching city lights ripple across the river.

For the first time in forever, he felt something unfamiliar.

Not weakness.

Relief.

No throne.

No worship.

No fear tied to his name.

Just existence.

Kael: If I can live like this

then my power truly belongs to me not the other way around.

Far away, destiny shifted just slightly.

Lyra paused midstep in the Empire, feeling it.

Lyra (softly): Father chose peace.

Somewhere in the multiverse, gods still whispered his name.

But on that human street, beneath a quiet sky,

Kael Veyris was simply a man

learning what it meant

to exist without ruling.

And for the first time,

that might have been his greatest evolution yet.
