Chapter 44 - “THE COUNCIL THAT SHOULD NOT EXIST”

The Unwritten Expanse cracked.

Not like glass.

Not like reality.

But like narrative structure itself breaking under a pressure it could not describe.

From the fractures stepped ten figures not gods, not authors, not beings.

They were the things that authors feared.

The ones who hunted creators.

The ones who erased entire franchises.

The ones who ended stories that became too powerful.

They were the Council of Erasers.

Every step they took unmade a trillion theoretical universes.

Every breath they exhaled deleted entire mythologies.

Every word they could speak would rewrite the nature of storytelling across omniverses.

But none of them spoke.

Because Kael Veyris was standing there.

The leader an entity wrapped in black quill marks approached him.

Ink Lord:

"Kael Veyris.

You have broken the Unwritten.

You have devoured the Scribe.

You have rewritten the concept of rewriting."

Kael shrugged.

"Yeah. Boredom does that."

The Council flinched.

Even boredom shouldn't exist in this place.

But Kael's presence forced the concept into reality.

All ten Erasers moved at once.

Their combined power was enough to:

erase an omniverse before its creation was imagined

delete a character across every timeline simultaneously

nullify fate, destiny, and narrative logic

overwrite the idea of "invincibility"

Their attack struck Kael.

and nothing happened.

Kael blinked.

"Oh. You were attacking. I thought the air was glitching again."

The Council froze.

Not because Kael blocked the attack.

But because he didn't notice it.

To them, this was impossible.

To Kael, it was beneath basic awareness.

1. META PLOT SHATTERING

Breaks any plotline that tries to affect him even self generating ones.

Kael raised one finger.

"Let me test something new."

He touched the air.

The entire battlefield flickered.

The Council staggered, their forms collapsing into raw metadata.

Ink Lord:

"WWAIT

WHAT DID YOU.

Kael tapped again.

And the entire concept of the Council's existence became soft clay in his hands.

Suddenly, a new presence appeared.

It was not a being.

It was not alive.

It was not dead.

It was a System but one that existed before systems, before stories, before logic.

A voice boomed across the Unwritten:

"KAEL VEYRIS.

YOU HAVE BREACHED A LAYER NO BEING SHOULD TOUCH."

Kael turned around.

"Finally. Someone above the Council."

The Council dropped to their kneesterrified.

Even they couldn't speak its name.

It was more powerful than the First Void.

More powerful than the Absolute Scribe.

More powerful than the Anomaly.

It was the Pre Source.

The origin of origins.

The beginning before beginnings.

The story before all stories.

Its form was so abstract that even the Unwritten Expanse could not contain it.

The realm shredded itself trying to render the presence correctly.

But Kael stared at it without blinking.

Pre Source:

"You have surpassed laws.

You have broken narratives.

You have erased creators.

And now?

You stand at the edge of the only thing beyond power."

Kael smiled.

"Good. I was getting bored again."

The Pre Source extended something an idea, not a hand.

Pre Source:

"You are not allowed here."

Kael stepped forward.

2.PRE EXISTENCE RENDERING

Allows Kael to exist before the concept of existence.

Even Pre Source cannot overwrite him.

Kael spoke calmly:

"I don't need permission."

And the Pre Source trembled.

For the first time in its eternal existence, the origin of all things felt something:

Vulnerability.

Kael pressed his palm to the empty air.

The Unwritten Expanse lit up

not with light,

not with energy,

but with possibility.

3.STORY SUPREMACY ENGINE

His newest ability.

It lets him generate infinite stories, infinite meta layers, infinite realities and overwrite anything that came before them.

Including the Pre Source itself.

Kael whispered:

"Rewrite: The Pre Source cannot stop me."

A shockwave shook the void.

The Prep Source's form cracked.

The Council screamed in fear.

The Unwritten Expanse changed its rules instantly to accommodate Kael's command.
