Chapter 15 - Chapter 14: Everyone Knows

The music swelled. The final chorus echoed like a heartbeat through the crowd, the stage lights glowing like gold.

You could barely breathe.

Chan stood at center stage, chest rising, sweat gleaming on his collarbone, eyes locked right on you. He didn't look away.

The others took their positions for the final pose—but he stayed with you for one last second.

Then, just before the lights dropped—He smiled. Brought two fingers to his lips. And blew a kiss—to you.

The lights cut. The stage went dark. The show was over.

The crowd around you erupted. But it wasn't just from the performance anymore.

Someone near you gasped. "That kiss... was that for her?"

"Wait, you're the girl in the video!"

"She's literally the girl he pointed to!"

Before you could answer, you were being hugged—celebrated—surrounded.

"I knew it!"

"He looked at you like you were the only person there."

"He's never smiled like that on stage before!"

You barely managed to get a few words out. It was overwhelming, but in the most unexpected, beautiful way. You weren't met with jealousy or harshness. You were met with awe, with joy, with love.

Then two staff members appeared beside you, dressed in black, headsets in place, calm but focused. "Hi, come with us," one said, offering a hand. "We'll get you backstage safely."

Still stunned, you followed.

They led you through a side gate, past steel barricades and echoing corridors, weaving through controlled chaos until you finally reached the green room door. One of them gave you a reassuring smile before gently pushing the door open for you.

And then...

Chan's POV- Green Room

The second Chan stepped through the doorway, towel around his neck, shirt clinging to his back, he was ambushed.

"So that's what today was," Lee Know said, leaning against the mini fridge like he'd known it all along. "I thought you were just being cocky."

Felix barked a laugh. "No, that was unhinged in love."

Han spun his phone around from the couch. "TikTok's already on fire. You're trending in three languages."

Chan blinked. "What?"

Han hit play. It was a fan edit—his walkout, the moment he saw you, the mic drop, the teasing smirk, the shirt lift, the kiss at the end.

The caption read: "When your girlfriend is front row and you forget the rest of the world exists."

The boys exploded.

Jeongin fell over the arm of the couch. "HYUNG. You didn't even hide it!"

Changbin wheezed. "You pointed at her like she was your final boss."

Lee Know raised a hand. "Mic drop. Shirt lift. Finger guns. What's next? Serenade?"

Seungmin grinned. "You better do an apology VLive before JYPE panics."

But Han was still scrolling. "The fans aren't even mad. Look at these comments:

'He finally looks happy.'

'I don't care if she's the chosen one. She wins.'

'Protect them.'"

Chan looked at the screen again. At the moment his eyes met yours. At the look on your face. At his own face. He sat down slowly, overwhelmed.

"You okay?" Felix asked quietly.

He nodded. "They're happy?"

"They're thrilled," Han replied. "It's not a scandal. It's a fanfic come to life."

Chan ran a hand through his damp hair, exhaling. "She's everything."

Lee Know grabbed his water. "Then go. She's probably already back at the hotel."

"Or surrounded by fans trying to touch her hand for good luck," Jeongin said.

Chan jumped to his feet. "I have to find her."

Felix tossed him his hoodie. "Hurry. But maybe wipe your face first."

Han added, "And wear a mask. Romance is good. Pink-eye is not."

Then the door opened behind them. And the room froze.

You stepped inside, cheeks flushed, still glowing from the rush of it all.

Everyone turned to look.

Applause. A full, teasing, mock-celebratory round of applause broke out. Chan's face flushed deep pink.

Seungmin leaned toward Lee Know with a grin. "Looks like she's not at the hotel after all."

Lee Know shrugged. "Timing's everything."

Han looked at you, eyes wide. "Did you get mobbed out there?"

You laughed, a little breathless. "Hugged. Screamed at. Blessed. It's... a blur."

Felix clapped his hands. "They loved her. They love her. They're already shipping it."

"You guys keep joking," you said, sitting down beside Chan, "but if JYPE kicks in this door, I'm hiding under the couch."

That earned another round of laughter—nervous this time.

"Don't worry," Lee Know said dryly. "We'll all go down with you."

"Speak for yourself," Seungmin muttered.

But then Chan reached over, laced his fingers through yours, and smiled—soft and unshakable. "They're not mad," he said, eyes locked on yours. "They're happy. And so am I."
