Chapter 2
The Labyrinth
The ground shakes more intensely than ever, doesn't it, Dazai? Don't you think it's time for you to return? Nah, there is still time, and aside, I haven't even completed the story yet. Carry on then.
After I grabbed the card and revealed my identity as the Joker to myself, memories or visions about this world started flowing through my mind, and suddenly I knew everything about this world, my abilities, and about the games.
This world is called Valeria, and it is divided into 7 parts. Each part is greater than the last one through some aspect. The part of the world I am born in is the lowest graded and worst part of this world.
It was clear to me, same as my world, this world is also unequal due to a corrupt power system, but something in my mind told me that this world is even worse than mine.
"The games started 1500 years ago. Every 100 years, players from different universes are reincarnated into this world, including the players from this world, to participate in the games. The games are held completely differently every 100 years. No one knows who is controlling the games and what is the purpose of the games. Within these 1500 years, there have been no players with the Joker card ever come up till now. The Joker was considered not to be a part of the games. To win the games, the players must either find and identify every other player's card or be the last player alive. These are the only 2 ways to win the games. Every player is reincarnated with their own specific abilities, and the card which has chosen them gives them another ability to continue the games. The games will not end until the players win or one player is left to survive. Every night after midnight, players will be teleported to the games where they will face the games designed."
The first game was called the Labyrinth.
Well, as the name suggests, it's a labyrinth filled with dangerous creatures. Players must survive the labyrinth. How this game will end will be told once the game begins. The Game Master announced each player was given 30 minutes to prepare their minds before the game begins.
Dazai, you can tell me this story afterwards. You need to go right now. The time hasn't arrived yet, and besides, I can't go even if I wanted to right now. Aside, they all need to finish their part.

So my ability was manipulation. The ability that came with the Joker card—well, you will need to wait to find out.

"Well, after that, we all tried to calm ourselves, and after 30 minutes, we all teleported to a location called the Labyrinth of Lost Souls.
The Game Master announced, welcome to the Labyrinth of Lost Souls. You all will be placed randomly within the maze, and you all need to escape from the labyrinth, surviving the creatures and entities of the labyrinth. To escape, you must either find dimension artifacts placed within the maze or escape the labyrinth entirely. If you want my advice, go for the 1st one because no one in history has escaped the labyrinth aside from Lord Azinoth, of course."
After that, all 53 players, including me, were teleported within the labyrinth, or maze as some may say. The maze was surrounded by walls, with greenery taking over. The walls were huge, it was foggy, and through the fog, whispers of lost souls surrounded us, including the entities and creatures of the maze.
