Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 – Yin and Yang

The wind on the bridge was cold, but the air felt like it was slowly heating from the inside.

The moment my foot touched the center of the bridge,I knew this morning wasn't normal.

The Source Point in my chest pulsed once—not a warning,a tuning.

The space in front of me creased.A thin white line split open for less than a heartbeat, like someone cut through the airand the world rushed to stitch it back together.

Patch's fur exploded like static. My breath hitched.

The crack sealed instantly.Gone.Silent.

But the aftertaste in the air stayed—sharp, metallic, and dangerous.

I stepped closer. The bridge hummed under my feet. Not steel stress, not vibration from traffic—

Resonance.

As if the entire structure was answeringa frequency I wasn't supposed to hear.

I lifted my eyes.

In the distance, the two earth mounds in UFO Park—the Yin eye and the Yang eye—moved.

One inhaled.One exhaled.

Not wind.Not illusion.A rule breathing.

The Source Point in my chest answered it.Same rhythm.Same pace.

Inhale.Exhale.

Perfect sync.

I stepped back on instinct. The air pushed me forward.

My body suddenly understood what my brain didn't:

I wasn't approaching it.It was approaching me.

"…So that's how today's going to be."

I let out a thin laugh.

The world paused—just a flicker,a 0.1-second freeze-frame.

Then—

A thin white line flashed above the bridge.Clean.Bright.Gone before sound could catch up.

Most people would say it never existed.

But I knew exactly what it was.

Not an anomaly.A boundary.

And something had just tested it.

One step from breaking.

I pressed a hand to my chest. The Source Point thumped hard, like a knock from the inside.

"Yeah… I hear you."

If that crack appears again,it won't just flash.

It'll open.
