Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: Big Eater and Super Strong Woman

Ling held the massive scroll with a silly grin, feeling like she had hit the jackpot. The art of persuasion truly worked wonders, almost comparable to Talk No Jutsu.

Watching Gennō leave, Ling also prepared to head home for dinner. The Heavenly Restriction had turned Ling into a glutton, but it also caused her physical attributes to grow at an astonishing rate.

Seeing the scattered wolf carcasses on the ground, Ling decided not to waste them. She put them all into a Sealing Scroll, intending to sell them after returning to the Village.

As for the wolf king, its meat was rich in energy and nutrients, making it absolutely top-grade.

It was a pity about the wolf pelt; it had been so badly damaged by Gennō's Ninjutsu that it was unsellable.

Isn't there a saying that's very true? What determines your life's level is the quality of food you consume.

If Ling could have Mount Myōboku's toads for hotpot every day, her progress would undoubtedly be incredibly fast.

Upon returning to the Village, Ling prepared to sell a dozen large gray wolves to an uncle at a meat stall.

This was a retired Ninja named Yoshino Sa, originally a Chunin. He later lost three fingers during a mission and retired to become a butcher.

Due to the Heavenly Restriction, Ling frequently came to buy meat and vegetables, so most of the uncles and aunties on this street knew this adorable Uchiha girl.

"Oh, it's Ling! Are you here for beef again? Do you need ten pounds or twenty pounds this time?"

Uncle Yoshino, holding a sharp knife and twirling it expertly, easily dismembered a cow's leg.

He lowered his head and greeted Ling, who was only about as tall as his meat stall, with enthusiasm, as Ling was both an old and a major customer of his.

However, his way of greeting was a bit embarrassing for Ling. What kind of person brings up someone's shortcomings when greeting them? If it weren't for the freshest meat at Uncle Yoshino's stall, she wouldn't come here.

It served him right that his business wasn't good; it was because he couldn't speak well and always offended people. Plus, his figure was too tall, and his expression was fierce, stacking all the negative buffs.

Ling looked left and right, relieved to find that no one was surprised by her appetite. However, the blush on her face hadn't faded, making her appear cool yet shy, drawing extra glances from passersby.

"Hey! Uncle Yoshino, I'm not here to buy meat, but to sell it. I hunted a few wild wolves in the Death Forest today; do you want them?"

Yoshino Sa rubbed the back of his head, feeling a bit awkward. He knew his own faults but just couldn't change them, so he had to rely on price and quality to win, which was how he survived.

"Of course! If there's a large quantity, I'll ask the owners of other butcher shops if they need any."

Yoshino Sa was actually a very warm-hearted person; otherwise, his shop wouldn't have been able to exist and be profitable for so long.

"Oh, the quantity is quite large, fifteen of them. Each one weighs over three hundred pounds."

Ling took out the Sealing Scroll and shook it in her hand, indicating that they were all inside the Sealing Scroll, so preservation wouldn't be an issue.

The space within the Sealing Scroll was completely static, so there was no need to worry about spoilage. Ling had already bled and processed these wolf carcasses beforehand to ensure the taste wouldn't be gamey.

"Alright then, wait here for a moment, I'll go call them over."

Yoshino Sa ran to the other few butcher shops on the street. Although they were competitors, they were actually all comrades who knew each other.

They had survived the Second Great Shinobi War but had retired due to their own reasons. It must be said that Konoha, when not pushed to the brink, was still very humane, not forcing these disabled Ninja to shed their last drop of blood.

Ling then activated the Sealing Scroll, taking out the carcasses of the fifteen large gray wolves and arranging them in front of the meat stall, attracting the attention of surrounding shops and pedestrians.

"Yo, it's Ling! Another unlucky beast ran into your hands this time. How unfortunate for it."

The first to arrive was a rather comical-looking middle-aged uncle with a messy, unkempt chicken-nest hairstyle.

"Uh, Uncle Mikado, saying that will hurt my feelings. What do you mean it's unlucky for them to fall into my hands? It's their good fortune, alright?"

"Ling, I'm telling you now, if the beast meat you sell this time has injured parts that are still like minced meat, I won't buy it. Seriously, you're not selling meatballs, why turn it into minced meat?"

This time, an old man appeared, an old man who had lived from the First Great Shinobi War until now, over fifty years old, but still very robust.

However, ever since Ling sold him a black bear last time and he paid without carefully inspecting it, only to find out later that half of the black bear's body had been turned into minced meat, held together only by its fur, he would grumble a few words every time he met Ling.

"Hmph, Old Man Uchida, it's your own fault for not checking properly, and then spreading rumors everywhere that I'm a monster strength girl. Otherwise, I would have compensated you for the price difference long ago."

Ling brushed off the white-haired old man, getting angry just thinking about it. He was the one who spread her reputation as a monster strength.

Nowadays, whenever Uchiha Ling is mentioned in Konoha, the first reaction is that she's incredibly strong, similar to Princess Tsunade.

The second reaction is that she can eat a lot, she's a glutton, even more formidable than Uzumaki Kushina. This was spread by Jiraiya, that narrow-minded old pervert.

Listen, when people talk about others, they always mention how talented they are or how powerful they are. But when they talk about Uchiha Ling, they don't praise her strength or talent; even praising her beauty would be fine. Why do they have to say she's a gluttonous monster strength girl?

In the future, when fighting other Ninja Villages, if she makes a name for herself and their intelligence departments inquire, the Kage and high-ranking officials of each Village would surely burst out laughing.

When people meet Ling outside, they won't say that encountering Uchiha Ling means they can unconditionally abandon their mission; instead, they'll say this is Uchiha Ling, the strongest and most gluttonous person in Konoha Village.

"Alright, this time the wild game is completely preserved, and the blood has been drained cleanly. You've made progress, Ling."

The one squatting on the ground inspecting the prey was Uncle Aoki, originally a Special Jonin. He became lame after taking a Kunai to the knee and is now retired.

"These fifteen wild wolves, we'll each take three, and we'll collectively give you fifty thousand ryo per wolf."

Uncle Aoki had the most authority, and the other four had no objections to what he said, so Ling effortlessly gained seven hundred and fifty thousand ryo, making a huge profit.

With her small fortune, Ling returned home and had her Shadow Clone deal with the wolf king's carcass, disassembling the edible parts and using the rest to feed the Jade Hounds.

She took out today's gains: the Sealing Technique scroll obtained from Orochimaru, as well as the Summoning Technique and Reverse Summoning Technique.

Ling first opened the Sealing Technique scroll, and upon seeing it, her face lit up with joy; it was incredibly comprehensive.

From the One-Line Formation to the Four Symbols Seal, there were also the Five Elements Sealing and corresponding single-attribute seals, such as the Fire Sealing Method.

Additionally, there were the Evil Sealing Method, Soul Sealing Method, Elemental Sealing Method, and so on.

Orochimaru had also thoughtfully included his own analyses and annotations, as well as some applications of sealing runes that Orochimaru himself had researched.
