Chapter 66 - Clash of Rivals, Underhanded Attack

"Tch, I'm not interested in getting to know a man!" Logan sneered at Zhou Yi, ignoring the outstretched hand. He bypassed him and asked Jean Grey directly, "Jean, I heard someone wants to take Rogue away from here. What's going on?"

"We're still confirming the details, Logan! You need to calm down," Jean Grey said, trying to reason with the agitated Logan. Although this man had just arrived at the academy, unlike the students, he was a powerful mutant with extensive combat experience. And he was also the type to lose his temper easily. So, it was best not to let him lose control.

"This is not something that can be solved by staying calm. I don't care why the Professor made this decision, but I won't let Rogue be taken away by someone I don't know. Jean, come with me to find the Professor. If we can't dissuade him from this flawed idea, then don't blame me for taking action against that unfortunate guy." Logan rambled on and on to Jean Grey, the conclusion of which made Zhou Yi quite unhappy.

He was unhappy for two reasons: one was Logan's obvious affection for Jean Grey. The other was that he was the unfortunate guy Logan was talking about teaching a lesson.

"Buddy, although I don't want to interfere with your high opinion of yourself, I need to remind you. If it wasn't for someone else, I'm that unfortunate guy you're talking about," Zhou Yi, who wasn't exactly a good person to begin with, naturally wouldn't give a good look after being treated coldly by Logan. Instead, he mocked him directly and straightforwardly.

"Really?" Logan turned around, his eyes fixed on Zhou Yi like a hungry wolf. "Looks like I don't need to go find the Professor. Buddy, I don't know who you are, but here's a word of advice: stay away from this matter."

"Sorry, I like to make trouble for myself!" Zhou Yi always returned threats, especially from a man, as much as he received.

And such a move easily ignited the fuse in Logan's brain. He was never one to think before acting. His muscles were always faster than the reactions in his brain.

Logan threw a punch directly at Zhou Yi's face; Logan always enjoyed punching people in the face, especially someone who seemed to rely on their looks. For Zhou Yi, this was a clear provocation. He also liked people who provoked him because he could hit them back without any hesitation.

He sidestepped Logan's punch slightly and moved in close, right into Logan's embrace. Zhou Yi first slammed an elbow into Logan's stomach. The force was so brutal that it immediately caused Logan's body to convulse. This was a natural protective measure of the human body, and few people could defy this rule.

Having succeeded, Zhou Yi immediately pressed his advantage; for him, the first move was just the principal, and now it was time for the interest.

Clinging to Logan's body, and at the moment he couldn't help but bend over, Zhou Yi used one hand to lift him up, slamming his palm hard into Logan's jaw. The immense force applied to his jaw caused Logan's chin to slam into his upper jaw. The impact instantly made him see stars, and he felt a strong vibration throughout his brain.

He staggered backward, almost tripping and falling to the ground. In Zhou Yi's eyes, this performance almost proved that he had lost his fighting ability.

But Logan's resilience was beyond his imagination. He shook his head vigorously and charged forward even more ferociously, as if the previous injuries didn't exist at all. Of course, it wasn't that the injuries didn't exist; it was just that the damage had made him even angrier.

Zhou Yi was incredibly agile in the face of Logan's attacks. In fact, as someone who could move at over ten thousand meters per second, teasing a brute who only knew how to use muscles was incredibly easy. He dodged left and right, and Logan's fists brushed against his clothes, but he couldn't actually hit him.

Anyone with eyes could see Zhou Yi's playful attitude, but Logan didn't think that way. He was a one-track-minded guy who rarely gave up. Of course, that didn't mean he wouldn't use his brain.

"Hey, little fish. All you can do is dodge? Or don't you have the guts to throw a punch like a real man!" Unable to land a hit, he started using a goading tactic to provoke Zhou Yi, though he wasn't sure if Zhou Yi would fall for it.

Such an obvious goad usually wouldn't work. But for Zhou Yi, who had a trick up his sleeve, it was an opportunity.

"You want to compete like a real man? Fine! No problem at all. I'll show you what a man is." Saying this, he really stood in place and assumed a stance, as if he wanted to go head-to-head with a punch.

This was exactly what Logan wanted. Although he didn't know why Zhou Yi would suddenly give up his great advantage and, like a fair and just knight, choose a disadvantageous position for himself, it didn't make him feel any guilt. He was a guy who had participated in wars. Even if he didn't remember it himself, the war had left a deep enough impression on his body. In a fight, there was only victory or defeat; the victor could talk about everything else.

Facing Zhou Yi's stance, he put all his strength into throwing a right hook. He had never thought he would lose in a head-to-head contest like this. Because he was truly made of steel and bone, his whole body of Adamantium gave him a huge advantage in this kind of contest. Especially against a guy who didn't look particularly strong.

Seeing that Logan was about to punch Zhou Yi in the face, Zhou Yi put on a horrified look.

"Jean, what are you doing? Stop it, quick!"

This exclamation made Logan instantly stop his action and turned his head to look at Jean Grey behind him. When he saw Jean Grey's innocent face, he realized he had been tricked, but it was already too late.

A vicious kick aimed squarely at Logan's groin instantly robbed him of the ability to think. Clutching his crotch, he dropped to his knees, his face turning crimson. It was as if his eyes were about to pop out of their sockets. At that moment, all of his senses seemed to fail, leaving him with only one feeling: pain!

"Buddy, I believe I said I'd show you what it means to be a man. And yeah, you're not going to be a man anymore. That's the way it is!" Zhou Yi, having successfully landed the blow, gloated over his victory, though Jean Grey, standing nearby, didn't seem to think it was something to boast about.

This wasn't the first time Zhou Yi had done something so underhanded in front of her. The last victim was Scott, who she was somewhat close to, and this time it was Logan. Thinking of this, Jean Grey couldn't help but hold her head, wondering if this wasn't intentional, then it was truly a curse she couldn't shake.

"You scoundrel!" Logan roared, but his voice sounded particularly ridiculous. Even though Zhou Yi had controlled his strength, the severe injury to a man's most vulnerable area was bound to have an impact.

"No, no, no, this isn't卑鄙." Zhou Yi, not satisfied, continued to taunt Logan. "This is strategy. I'm not some beast whose brain is all muscles."

"Damn you, I'll kill you." Seemingly having a special ability to withstand pain, Logan had already recovered after a few words. So he lunged forward again, this time he was serious. Because three sharp blades sprouted from the gaps in his fist. They were creations of Adamantium, and their only attribute was invincibility. The use of this weapon was enough to show Logan's current mood.

"Fool, haven't you figured it out yet?" With a casual spread of his fingers, he met Logan's fist through the gaps between the three blades. In an instant, Logan's momentum was stopped. His fist didn't touch anything, because before they made contact, Zhou Yi had closed his fingers, clamping onto his claws.

It was as if he was caught by a giant mechanical clamp; no matter how Logan exerted himself, he couldn't move his arm. Because the blades were his claws, and the claws were connected to his bones. This move seemed to only grab a part of him, but in reality, it fixed the bones of his upper body, naturally stopping his movements.

Feeling his body was not free, Logan swung the other claw towards Zhou Yi's hand that held him. He didn't think he could hurt him this way, because in his scenario, this would at most force him to let go.

And the facts proved that he was overthinking. Zhou Yi just reached out with his other hand and grasped his wrist, completely immobilizing him. The loss of freedom of his entire upper body made Logan grit his teeth. He leaned forward, using all his strength to slam his head into Zhou Yi in front of him. This action caused his tendons to tear, and although it was very painful, he had to do it.

Because his nature was that of a wolf, a vicious wolf that would bite its enemy fiercely even with a body full of wounds.

Bumping heads with someone else wasn't a pleasant experience. So Zhou Yi leaned back, dodging Logan's headbutt while using another part of his body to make intimate contact with his head.

A hard knee collided with an equally hard skull, and Zhou Yi had to admit that Adamantium bones were just a little too hard. His knee was sending out a pain signal. Logan was even more miserable; his entire body flew backward.

Without Zhou Yi's grip, he instantly became a flying ragdoll, about to smash into Ororo's desk.

At this moment, two fields of Telekinesis came forward and caught him, allowing him to land smoothly. The Telekinesis belonged to Jean Grey, and also to Zhou Yi.

Shaking his head, Logan's abilities meant he would never suffer any lasting harm. So he was fine, just continuing to extend his claws, staring intently at Zhou Yi. He said viciously.

"Jean, I don't need your help!"

Jean Grey didn't reply, but Zhou Yi answered instead.

"Dude, even though I hate to say it, it wasn't just Jean who helped you just now." He stretched out his palm, facing Logan from a distance, and the surging Telekinesis lifted him directly into the air. Logan struggled, but the Telekinesis was too strong for him to resist at all.

"You bastard, are you a mutant?" Logan looked at Zhou Yi in disbelief, seemingly not expecting his identity, or rather, he didn't expect Jean Grey to have deceived him.

Zhou Yi chuckled at his question. He just said:

"Guess, dude."
