As the head chef spoke, Eli could almost picture the scene she described: a sea of flowers beneath the moonlight, their delicate fragrance drifting through the breeze. The image sounded beautiful enough to belong in a dream, and the plant itself was no less captivating. Its bluish-green leaves shimmered faintly beneath the light, giving it a vibrant, almost enchanting appearance.
Unfortunately, the other seedlings remained contaminated and continued to wither. Eli's gaze wandered back to the incubator, and he suddenly noticed that the corner where the healthy plant had originally grown was now empty.
He paused, studying the remaining seedlings. Wasn't this the same one he'd helped upright yesterday? Compared with its listless appearance the previous day, it had seemed to experience a sudden burst of vitality before the other seedlings continued their decline. Could it be that the plant needed to grow upright?
