Chapter 1 - The curse and the cure

In a world where peace reigned and evil was nonexistent, an elephant suddenly attempted to kill a man.

That man, who was responsible for the world's tranquility—the Emperor, a powerful sorcerer—dies due to a mysterious reason.

Following the sorcerer's death, a child is born in a distant village.

Because peace was the norm in this world, the sorcerer's death brought about a series of catastrophes.

Exactly twenty-one years after the sorcerer's death, the world that was once full of peace had become a war zone.

This era is known as the 'Dark Century.'

The child born on the first day of the Dark Century is now a great warrior.

On the 7666th day of the Dark Century, an old man with a white beard arrives. He tells the villagers, "A great disaster is coming that will end this world—a plague with no cure. Therefore, leave this village immediately."

Everyone laughs at him. As he leaves, he says,

"If you want to live, abandon this village!" But no one heeds his warning.

On the 8000th day of the Dark Century, a child from that village dies, vomiting blood. A few days later, a meeting of kings is held where they discuss a pandemic that has no known cure.

It is then that the old man reappears. He introduces himself as Lekhaam.

He says, "Every person in the village is already cursed, and soon the whole world will be. If you truly wish to live, listen to what I say."

He explains that there are twelve dimensions, and this world is the lowest dimension. The cure for the curse lies in the highest dimension.

But again, no one listens, and everyone starts laughing.

Then Lekhaam states, "The king of the Vanland country will die in three days."

Three days later, what was foretold

happened—the king died. Now, everyone frantically searches for Lekhaam.

They find Lekhaam on a distant mountain. He tells them there is a warrior who is immune to this curse—Find him!

"Where can he be found?" they ask.

He tells them that the warrior will be found in that very village.

"Go find him! You don't have much time," the old man says, and then falls asleep.

They arrived in the village. Every soul was gripped by the plague's agony.

Some villagers had sunken eyes, others suffered from body rigidity. Many were covered in festering sores, and some had gone blind.

The entire settlement was in mourning. While not physically dead, they were all dead within; hope itself was extinct.

A soldier questioned a failing villager, "Is there a single person in this village untouched by the sickness?"

The villager shook his head, replying in a frail whisper, "Every last one here is cursed by this plague."

The search for the warrior began, but he remained untraceable.
