"Umm..." Xie Fang slowly opened his eyes, the effect of the sedative had finally worn off.
Everything was blurry at first. He tried to move, but his hands were tied, and his body ached from the way he'd been left on the cold floor.
"Awake?"
A voice came from the front. Xie Fang glanced in that direction with a blurry vision.
He saw a blurry figure of a young woman not far away from him. Unlike him, who was lying on the ground with his hands tied behind his back, she was sitting on the chair comfortably.
Xie Fang shook his head, blinking hard. It took a few moments before his vision became clear.
When he saw the woman, his eyes widened in shock.
"Li Yuxi?"
He called out hesitantly, unable to process anything. "Were you also kidnapped?" Xie Fang asked with a frown, but quickly dismissed this thought from his mind.
