Chen Guodong's roar echoed through the Awakening Hall, drawing sideways glances from everyone around.
He strode forward quickly, fingers bulging with veins pointing directly at Chen Yu's nose.
"Do you realize what you have done?!"
"That was a top-tier Awakening Capsule specially approved by the Alliance! There are only three in the entirety of Lanjiang!"
"You didn't choose the SSS-rank Logia class, but instead chose a trash panel with unknown abilities! You have completely thrown away the Chen family's face!"
Beside him, Zhang Li supported Chen Guodong's arm at just the right moment, advising softly,
"Husband, don't get so angry you hurt your health. Yu'er... perhaps he was just confused for a moment."
However, the look she cast at Chen Yu held a trace of imperceptible contempt.
"After all, with such a great opportunity, anyone would be nervous, right?"

Zhang Li's expression shifted slightly; she hadn't expected Chen Yu to expose the matter in public.
Immediately, she switched to a wronged expression, her eyes turning red.
"Little Yu, what... what nonsense are you talking about? How could I harm you?"
"I am just a weak woman; how could I possibly kill you..."
"You couldn't kill me?" Chen Yu sneered. "How could a user of the Logia-type Gas-Gas Fruit fail to kill a normal person?"
Chen Yu recalled the sensation the original owner felt before falling into a coma—that feeling of total suffocation.
In One Piece, there are many abilities that can cause suffocation, but the only one that can do it so silently and invisibly is the Gas-Gas Fruit.
A flash of terror passed through Zhang Li's eyes, but she quickly suppressed it.
"Wh... what fruit?" Zhang Li feigned confusion.
"Enough!" Chen Guodong shouted angrily. "You made a mistake yourself, refuse to repent, and now you dare to slander your mother?"
"I think you've gone completely mad!"
He scoffed at Chen Yu's words. In his heart, Zhang Li had always been the image of gentleness and virtue; how could she do such a thing?
Chen Yu knew that empty words would not gain trust. From an outsider's perspective, he looked like he was making trouble out of nothing.
He glanced at the mocking smile at the corner of Zhang Li's mouth.
Since she wanted to hide, he would force her to reveal her true form.
"This bitch is not my mother!" Chen Yu suddenly flashed forward.
Shave activated! He rushed straight for Zhang Li's face, raising his hand with Finger Pistol ready to strike!
He calculated that if Zhang Li were truly an Awakener, she would never sit still and wait for death!
"Brother! What are you doing!"
In the nick of time, Chen Chen threw himself in front of Zhang Li without thinking.
Chen Yu's eyes narrowed. His Finger Pistol rained down upon Chen Chen like a torrential storm.
Chen Chen's body automatically transformed into a swamp; one large hole after another opened up on his body.
But it caused no damage.
Feeling the power of his ability, Chen Chen smiled triumphantly. "Brother, stop. You can't hurt me."
Chen Guodong and Zhang Li also looked at Chen Chen with appreciation.
However, their triumph didn't last half a second.
"Armament Haki!" Chen Yu shouted in a low voice, a layer of inky black coating his right leg. "Tempest Kick!"
A whip kick slammed directly into his body.
This time, even after elementalizing, Chen Chen's physical body was caught.
He was sent flying by a blue blade of air.
Chen Yu did not let him go. "Shave!"
His figure instantly closed the distance. Armament Haki covered his fist as he raised it high.
And smashed it down violently!
Chen Chen only felt an irresistible force slam into his chest, like being run over by a high-speed train.
His whole body flew backward like a kite with a broken string.
He slammed heavily into the wall. By the time he slid to the floor, he was coughing up blood and had passed out cold.
All of this happened in a flash of lightning; everyone was stunned.
"Holy shit?! He took down a Logia user?"
"Chen Chen just awakened; he probably didn't know that elementalization consumes stamina. He suffered from a lack of experience."
"Chen Yu's physical skills are truly terrifying! As expected of a top student from Lanjiang No. 1 High School."
"An F-rank panel suppressing a Logia type? Terrifying!"
No one expected that Chen Yu, who was thought to have awakened a trash panel, would actually beat the Logia-user Chen Chen into the ground.
Zhang Li's face was pale.
In that instant just now, she had almost instinctively released her ability to defend herself.
If Chen Chen hadn't suddenly rushed out, she would likely have been exposed by now.
She looked at Chen Yu's cold eyes, hiding the killing intent deep in her heart.
