I struggled to free myself from the ropes that was around my wrists. My head still ached and my muscles were still sore from the remaining effects of the wolfsbane powder. I struggled to move around but I couldn't afford to remain sit there helplessly as Isobel's life depended on me.
After what felt like a very long time, I managed to loose the knots and free my hands. I forced myself to stand up from the cold, hard ground and I swayed as dizziness almost overtook me. The lonely road was long before me and it looked unending, especially as the light from the moon shone on it.
Suddenly, I heard the faint sound of a car and I panicked as I saw headlights appeared, which became brighter and brighter as the vehicle came closer. My body tensed up as I wasn't sure who it was. I couldn't tell if it was a rogue, a member of my pack or a complete stranger. I could only hope for the best because I knew I wasn't strong enough to fight.
