Chapter 13 - **SEASON 2 — EPISODE 1“THE MESSAGE IN THE DARK”**

**SEASON 2 — EPISODE 1

"THE MESSAGE IN THE DARK"**

A new semester started.

The air outside the school felt different—colder, heavier, as if something was waiting just beyond the gates.

But Bhanu…

She felt stronger.

Not completely healed.

Not completely confident.

But stronger than she was in Season 1.

And she needed that strength.

Because this season…

nothing would stay the same.

# **The Message She Never Deleted**

It had been three days since she received that strange text:

> **"I've been watching you."**

> **"You don't belong with either of them."**

> **"I'm coming soon."**

She still didn't know who sent it.

She didn't tell Arjun.

She didn't tell Goutam.

She barely slept since.

Every time she walked alone, she felt eyes on her.

Every time she turned a corner, she checked behind her.

But she said nothing.

Because if she told either boy—

Arjun would worry himself sick.

Goutam would hunt the sender down and start a fight.

And she wanted peace.

Not more chaos.

---

# **The School Changes**

New students had joined this semester.

The crowd felt bigger.

The hallways seemed tighter.

Whispers were louder.

And in those whispers…

her name floated around again.

"She's the girl both boys like."

"Do you think she'll choose this time?"

"I heard someone new is interested in her."

Bhanu kept walking, head down, trying not to hear anything.

But she wasn't alone anymore.

---

# **Arjun Notices First**

He approached her quietly near the lockers.

"Bhanu," he said gently.

She looked up.

Arjun still had that soft, heart-warming smile… but now it carried something else.

Protectiveness.

Worry.

Something deeper.

"You okay?" he asked.

She nodded automatically.

But he tilted his head a little, seeing straight through her.

"You look tired."

She swallowed.

Of course he noticed.

He always did.

"I'm fine," she said softly.

Arjun nodded, but he didn't look convinced.

"Listen… if anything's bothering you, you can tell me. Even if you think it's small."

Bhanu hesitated.

For a moment, she wanted to tell him everything—the message, the fear, the uneasiness.

But then—

Someone leaned against the wall beside her.

A familiar tall figure.

Goutam.

---

# **Goutam Has Changed Too**

He wasn't smiling.

He wasn't smirking.

His voice was lower, calmer.

"You look pale," he said bluntly.

"Did something happen?"

Bhanu froze.

Arjun frowned slightly.

Why were they both asking the same question?

She shook her head quickly.

"No, nothing happened."

Goutam narrowed his eyes.

Arjun sighed softly.

Neither believed her.

And she…

didn't have the courage to explain yet.

---

# **The New Student Walks In**

The hallway suddenly quieted.

Footsteps echoed.

Students turned.

Whispers rose.

A boy walked through the corridor—tall, sharp features, deep intense eyes, and a serious expression that made people move out of his way.

Black hoodie.

Headphones around his neck.

Cold expression.

He didn't look like a transfer student.

He looked like a storm.

Someone whispered—

"That's the new student. His name is *Yashwin*."

"He came from some other city."

"They say he fought in his old school."

"He doesn't talk to anyone."

Bhanu barely paid attention.

Until—

He stopped.

Right beside her.

The hallway went dead silent.

Arjun stiffened.

Goutam's posture instantly turned protective.

The new boy looked at Bhanu.

Directly.

Unblinkingly.

Like he already knew her.

Her heart thudded painfully.

Why… why was he staring?

Then—

He said her name.

"Bhanu," he said softly…

as if he'd said it a thousand times before.

Her eyes widened.

Arjun stepped forward.

Goutam immediately moved closer.

"How do you know her name?" Goutam asked sharply.

The boy's eyes didn't leave hers.

"I've known her… for years."

Bhanu's throat tightened.

Years?

Who was he?

Arjun's voice was firm.

"You should explain."

The boy finally looked away from Bhanu to glance at the two boys blocking him.

His expression didn't change.

"I don't need to explain anything to you."

Goutam stepped closer, angry now.

"Say that again."

The new boy raised an eyebrow.

"Why? You'll fight me?" he asked calmly.

"In front of her?"

Goutam froze.

Because yes—he would fight.

And this stranger knew it.

Before any argument could explode, the boy walked past them.

But as he did, he whispered only loud enough for Bhanu to hear:

"You got my messages… right?"

Bhanu's blood ran cold.

Her breath stopped.

Her entire body went numb.

**Him.**

**He was the one texting her.**

The hallway blurred around her.

She grabbed the locker for support.

Arjun reached for her shoulder, voice panicked.

"Bhanu?! What's wrong?"

Goutam was already scanning the hallway for the boy.

"Did he say something to you?!"

But Bhanu couldn't answer.

Because that boy…

Yashwin…

He knew her name.

He watched her.

He texted her.

He said he knew her for years.

And when she finally looked up again…

He was gone.

---

# **The Episode Twist**

That night, Bhanu finally opened the old message thread.

Three new messages arrived.

> **"Nice seeing you again."**

> **"You've changed."**

> **"Don't trust either of them."**

Her heartbeat stopped.

"Again"…?

Did she know him before?

From when?

From where?

And why was he watching her now?

A fourth message came—single line, chilling.

> **"This time, I'm not losing you."**

Bhanu's hand shook violently.

Yashwin wasn't just a new student.

He wasn't just a stranger.

He was from her past.

A past she didn't remember.

But one that was coming back—

and threatening to destroy the fragile peace she had built with both Arjun and Goutam.
