••{EROS'S POV}••
For a heartbeat, I can do nothing but stare at her.
Rose stands before me with a faint smile on her face, the chandelier lights catching in the red roses woven into her hair. Her eyes hold my gaze so directly that my breath leaves me all at once.
"Prince Eros," she says with a look of amusement written all over her face. "You look as if you've seen a ghost."
I blink hard and shake my head at once.
"No—I um…"
A small laugh slips from her lips. Then she smiles and says, "I believe it's our turn to dance."
"Oh…" I clear my throat. "Yes. Of course."
I step closer to her and slowly place my hand at her waist, pulling her nearer until there's no space left between us.
The second I do, my heart begins pounding so hard that I'm certain she must hear it.
We're so close now that I can finally see the true color of her eyes.
Blue.
The most beautiful shade of blue I have ever seen in my life.
I take her hand, and like that, we begin to dance.
