"Are you also planning on going alone? " asked Kyso
"I might. But for now, having someone to aid me seems okay" Bellia answered.
Then they walked off together to explore. Meanwhile, Molta, who was recently defeated, was done regenerating.
" Damn it all! How could I lose? I'm supposed to be the strongest!"
He let out all his frustration on any creature he met. Till he saw a familiar-looking stone pod.
" It's one of those. No, I must destroy it. I must be the strongest. Not them. I can't allow it to open! "
As he jumped at it, it began to crack. His face began to change as he knew that the creature was about to completely evolve. When his hand hit the stone,
BOOOM!!!,
was heard. After the dust cleared, Molta saw that his fist was caught by the new evolved.
"Coward. You couldn't even wait for me to emerge. You attacked an unarmed opponent."
Molta was about to talk when he had a thought.
" (It's clear that some of the evolved were stronger, so it would be good to get them on my side. One can never have too many allies) . Sorry I was in a bad mood. I was ambushed by another Evolved called Lumio. I was heavily injured, so much that I had to flee",
said Molta.
"Lumio, is that how he identifies himself? Hmm, I'd like to meet this Lumio. I suppose I should also identify myself somehow as well. Well, the simplest name I can think of right now would be Naaman.",
he said.
"Well Naaman, I'm Molta. It's nice to meet you. It would be good to have a friend around" ,
said Molta.
" Likewise, for now I must leave. This new form is quite strange to me. I must get familiar with it.",
said Naaman as he began walking away.
"I hope to see you again" ,
said Molta.
After Naaman was out of listening range,
"Argh!! How are they all stronger?! That's it, not anymore!"
Molta felt an intense rage in his body. He was determined to get more powerful than everyone else. His first target was a giant feline-looking creature.
Without a second thought, he jumped at it, screaming.
" Arrgggh!! "
He delivered two blows to the creature's head, followed by another two. He then grabbed a nearby Boulder and threw it at it. The creature was then in a daze, releasing cries of pain. He jumped onto its hind and broke off its tail. The creature then tried to escape and began running, but Molta was faster.
He caught up in no time and used the ten-meter-long tail he ripped off as a weapon and brutally broke the creature's legs. When the creature was down and slowly regenerating, Molta charged up his core.
Then lava shot out of his mouth like a jet spray, straight through the creature's core.
"Rooooaaar!!"
He then let out a roar of victory.
Back with Lumio, he was running, testing his speed. He was extremely fast by his calculations. As he blitzed around, he run up a mountain. At that height, he was hit with the light from a solar flare from that solar system's sun and begun to glow.
"Interesting, I still have that skill."
While airborne, he saw a bunch of different creatures on the ground and shot at them. It was an insta-kill. The beams his kind shot out were powerful enough to destroy mountains, so it was their ultimate attack.
But because the asteroid was so big, days and nights were longer. One day could last half a year, so he couldn't use his ability on the dark side. He then decided to head for the day side.
Somewhere far away, and knew he would emerge.
" Ugh, I didn't plan to be this small. But if it feels better, more compressed. Well, meh, what's done is done."
This evolve was a bit larger than the others. It had curved horns on its head and two on each shoulder. As he walked around, he kept staring at his hand. He could feel something.
" Hmm, everything seems compressed in this form. Really, really compressed. Even that weapon I used to use is missing. I think it's called... , I called it a mace, right? Yeah, I called it a mace. I don't even know where it is now. Ugh, how did I even lose it?",
he asked himself.
He kept walking for a while, until he saw multiple dead creatures.
" What? Did someone do this?"
He checked and saw that their cores were still intact, but the bodies were dead to the last cell. Since it was a good opportunity, he began absorbing their cores.
Usually, when a creature absorbs another creature's core, it would result in two minds fighting for control.
But this time, there was no other consciousness. It was like all the organic matter that created the body, and its consciousness died.
All that was left was its beating heart. The evolved, after ingesting the cores, rested for a bit to allow his own core to absorb the others.
He became curious and began looking around. He expected to see some ferocious looking beast, but instead he saw one large ox-type creature walking out of a ridge. But it looked weak.
It was wobbling out. He tried to get closer to it, but when he did, he saw a green-tinted rock in his path. He then began getting dizzy.
"What's going on?... That stone is emitting something. What is this?"
It turns out that this old asteroid kept absorbing different substances from these planets, which gave it over 500 different elements.
That's what caused the formation of various different substances and objects on the asteroid.
One example was this green rock that caused all organic matter within its area of effect to decay. He then moved backwards to get away from it, but the other creature was not lucky. That ridge was full of those rocks. It kept letting out cries of pain its movements also became sluggish till it dropped down. Suddenly, it felt something grab it. When the creature came to, it saw that the evolved was standing beside it.
By then, its energy had been regained. It stood and thanked the Isai with a low-tone roar.
"You're thanking me, right? I don't understand much of what you guys say anymore, but I'm pretty sure you are, so you're welcome."
After their talk, he began walking around, especially away from the stones. He then noticed that the creature from before kept following him.
" Stop following me."
It did not. It kept following him for a while. If he tried to run, it would follow. Even if he ran really far, it would eventually find him.
"Sheesh, still, you gotta go."
The creature still didn't leave. It was constantly on his tail. It would go and get into random fights, but it would always come back.
"(sigh) Fine. You can follow."
