I wasn't sure how, but it felt… inevitable. As though the outcome had already been decided long before the rankings appeared.
Still, the scoreboard mattered far less to me than the name directly beneath mine.

So that was her full name.
It was certainly distinctive.
Bo Yin…? What kind of vampire household used a name like that?
The longer I stared at it, the stranger it sounded.
If anything, it resembled a Chinese surname.

I glanced subtly toward her.
Her expression hadn't changed at all. Surprisingly, there was no flicker of emotion in her eyes.
Whatever could she be thinking about with such a serious expression?
For a moment, I debated whether to stay quiet.
