Chapter 16 - Daniel & Selene First Kiss

Night Drive — Daniel & Selene

Daniel pulled Selene onto his lap.

His lips brushed against her neck as his breath grew uneven.

He kissed, lingered, and bit gently—slowly, possessively.

Selene's breath hitched.

Soft, broken sobs escaped her lips without her permission.

Her reactions were driving Daniel insane.

His hands roamed over her, claiming, controlling—

and Selene trembled under his touch.

Finally, Daniel lifted his face to look at her.

Selene's expression was filled with fear.

Her green eyes shimmered with unshed tears,

making her look heartbreakingly beautiful.

Daniel's gaze dropped to her lips—

dark maroon lipstick, slightly smudged, painfully tempting.

He traced her lips with his thumb and said quietly,

"This fear…

these tears in your eyes—

they exist only for me.

Only for me."

"You need to be scared of me," he continued coldly,

"so the thought of ever leaving me

never even crosses your mind."

He leaned in and kissed her deeply.

Selene tried to push him away.

She struggled, gathering all her strength—

but against Daniel, it meant nothing.

Exhausted, she eventually stopped resisting.

Taking advantage of her weakness,

Daniel deepened the kiss further.

Moments later, he laid her back against the seat,

his weight hovering over her.

Time blurred.

When Selene finally struggled to breathe,

Daniel was forced to pull away.

She gasped for air, her chest rising and falling rapidly—

brushing against his.

Daniel felt it.

He rubbed his nose against her cheek and murmured,

"Careful, baby.

You're tempting me."

"I don't want our first night

to happen inside this car."

"I've planned it…

very carefully." 💋🔥😈

Selene froze.

Selene (thoughts):

This man is insane.

How did someone like him even become a mafia king?

And… my first kiss—he stole it.

Her cheeks burned.

Daniel had been watching her the entire time.

"Are you thinking about our wedding night?" he teased softly.

Her face turned even redder.

Just then, the car stopped.

"Sir, we've arrived," the driver announced.

Daniel stepped out first, then helped Selene out.

He adjusted her dress, fixed her hair, and said casually,

"Sorry… I think I ate your lipstick."

Selene shot him an angry look.

"What's even left of me now?" she snapped.

"Today you ate my lipstick—

tomorrow you'll eat me whole." 😡

Daniel leaned close to her ear and whispered,

"There's time for that.

Trust me…

I'll enjoy every bite."

🎉 Party Hall — Sinclair Gathering

Daniel stepped out and opened the door for Selene, offering his hand.

She placed her hand in his.

Outside, the media was waiting—

but Daniel's guards surrounded them completely.

No cameras.

No interruptions.

Together, they entered the party hall.

Every eye turned toward them.

Business tycoons rushed toward Daniel—

everyone knew that working with Daniel Raizada,

Asia's number-one businessman,

meant unstoppable success.

Women stared at him with longing.

Men stared at Selene with interest.

Jealousy burned everywhere.

Daniel noticed.

He wrapped an arm around Selene's waist and pulled her close,

his gaze sharp and warning—

She's mine.

Both the Sinclair family and the Sahni family saw everything.

Across the room, Mia stood frozen.

Pain filled her eyes—

because the place beside Daniel

was supposed to be hers. 🥺

And jealousy—

because Selene had become

everyone's first choice. 🔥😡

🍨 Dessert Counter

Selene didn't know anyone there,

so she moved toward the food counter.

Daniel caught her wrist.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm hungry," she replied, gesturing toward the stall.

"Fine," Daniel said.

"But stay away from men.

And don't leave until I come back."

She made a face.

"Okay."

At the counter, she smiled at the waiter.

"One strawberry ice cream, please."

Her childlike excitement made the waiter smile.

As she took her ice cream,

a slightly drunk man stepped closer.

His eyes were filled with desire.

"Hey, beautiful…

may I know your name?"

Selene turned sharply.

"Why do you need my name?"

"A beautiful girl's name

is something everyone wants to know," he said with a disgusting grin.

Selene understood immediately.

"I'm not interested," she replied coldly.

"Please stay away."

She turned to leave.

Then paused.

When she looked back—

the man was gone.

"That was easy," she muttered.

"Good thing he didn't act like men in novels."

She shrugged it off.

🚻 Same Time — Back Corridor Bathroom

The man lay lifeless on the floor.

Guards stood outside.

His eyes were destroyed.

A knife pierced straight through his neck.

Blood stained the tiles.

Daniel stood at the sink,

washing his blood-soaked hands.

His voice was calm.

"If anyone dares to touch you," he said to himself,

"their end will be far worse than this." 🔥
