Chapter 155 - . The summoning of Godmother

155. The Summoning of Godmother

The fairy realm still hummed with soft music of wind chimes and sparkling laughter as Marcelline finally pulled herself away from the swarm of excited children. The little ones clung to her legs, squealing in delight, while older fairies and angels hovered politely nearby, still blushing from Marcelline's radiant presence. Alpha and Paradus stood beside her in humanoid form, tall and composed, their eyes sweeping the area with protective vigilance, though each allowed themselves a subtle, proud glance at their sister.

"Seriously, she's dangerous," one young male fairy whispered to another, cheeks burning. "Not just powerful… but beautiful… terrifyingly beautiful."

Alpha muttered under his breath, "Focus. She's my sister. Nobody flusters her except me." Paradus smirked beside him. "And maybe Godmother, if she dares."

Marcelline tilted her head, a sly smirk tugging at her lips. "Oh, don't flatter yourselves. I only charm those who deserve it." She leaned down to brush a kiss on a child fairy's forehead, eliciting tiny squeaks of delight and a few flustered whispers from the older angels.

Finally, with a gentle wave of her hand, the fairies and angels parted to reveal a wide, glowing path leading to the heart of the realm—the Godmother's palace. Light shimmered off the crystalline floor, reflecting rainbows across the high arches and gardens, while delicate flowering vines with silver leaves swayed as if alive, murmuring soft greetings.

Alpha straightened to his full height, amber eyes glinting. "Alright. Fun time over. Remember why we came."

Paradus smirked, crossing his arms. "Yes… because if Marcelline charms everyone, we'll never get her inside for the summoning."

Marcelline rolled her eyes but allowed herself a small laugh, wings folding neatly behind her. "Patience, dears. The fun isn't over until I say so."

The trio approached the enormous palace doors, carved from enchanted silver and inlaid with luminous runes. The moment they reached the entrance, a soft chorus of voices echoed throughout the hallway, announcing their presence:

"The Devilish Angel approaches… Lady Marcelline , with divine beasts Lord Alpha and Lord Paradus."

Marcelline flicked her hair back, maintaining a composed, regal posture, though her smirk hinted at a devilish amusement. Alpha's jaw tightened, shoulders squared, while Paradus's charming smile barely concealed his alertness. Both exuded quiet pride, perfectly composed beside their extraordinary sister.

The doors swung open, revealing a grand hall that seemed to stretch endlessly upward. At the center sat Godmother herself on a chair that looked almost impossibly massive, carved from moonstone and adorned with gold filigree, velvet cushions shimmering like liquid starlight. The throne radiated authority and gravitas, its sheer size dwarfing everything around it, yet somehow perfectly balanced.

Flanking her on either side, facing each other across the wide hall, were the previous Godmother and the high elders of the fairy and angel world. Their eyes were sharp, respectful, and discerning, their presence a reminder of centuries of rule, wisdom, and judgment. Light glinted off their robes, intricate sigils and symbols woven into the fabric, and their postures were a mixture of reverence and vigilant authority.

Marcelline paused just outside the threshold, straightening her back, aura glowing softly but composed. Her wings flickered faintly, and for a moment, the realm seemed to hold its breath at the sheer presence of the devilish angel standing before them. Alpha and Paradus flanked her perfectly, statuesque, their pride visible in every motion yet tempered by a protective aura that silently warned any who dared approach.

A hush swept through the hall as Marcelline, with a controlled, sassy tilt of her chin, stepped forward, each movement deliberate, elegant, and commanding. Alpha's amber gaze swept across the room, scanning for any danger, while Paradus's charming smile remained fixed, his eyes reflecting quiet amusement at the reactions around them.

The elders inclined their heads slightly, acknowledging the presence of the young angel whose reputation had already echoed through the realm. Godmother's eyes, sharp and unyielding, fixed on Marcelline instantly, the light around her throne pulsing faintly with restrained power. The air thickened with expectation, authority, and a hint of tension, yet Marcelline's composure remained unshaken, her devilish spark hidden beneath a calm, regal exterior.

Alpha exhaled softly, leaning slightly toward Paradus. "Steady. She's in her element."

Paradus chuckled quietly. "Yes, but the fun part's about to begin."

Marcelline, reading their expressions, gave a subtle, knowing smirk. "Don't worry. I'm always ready."

And with that, the Devilish Angel entered fully into the heart of the throne room, ready to face Godmother and whatever task—or test—awaited her, while Alpha and Paradus maintained their proud, composed guard, as protective as ever, yet unable to hide the thrill of seeing their sister command the attention of an entire realm.
