In the middle of the night, there was a loud knock on Saphen's door.
As soon as Saphen stepped out, he saw Cain standing in front of him, his entire face blurred from crying, tears and snot smeared all over.
The moment he saw Saphen, Cain almost immediately lunged forward and wrapped his arms around him, crying miserably. "Saphen, hic, I didn't mean to stop playing with you. Please forgive me, okay? Next time I'll never raise my voice at you again, sob sob sob."
It had clearly been Cain who sulked on his own, then overthought everything, and in the end came running here by himself to apologize.
Saphen found Cain hard to understand, but he still nodded honestly. "I forgive you."
Cain stared at Saphen in shock. He had even been prepared for Saphen not to respond to him at all.
But Saphen had spoken. Cain immediately cheered up. "Saphen, you talked to me! Can you say more to me?"
