As Carabella left the accessories shop, it was Jefferson's turn to arrive. He sprinted into the shop and then quickly paced around it, searching for his beloved. His intuition told him that she should have visited this shop. But why hadn't he found her yet? There was no way he could have asked Raul to track her all the way out of town.
"Aren't you that handsome guy?"
Hearing a familiar woman's voice, Jefferson immediately ran to the shopkeeper sitting at the cashier counter. "Do you still remember me?"
The woman nodded enthusiastically. "There's no way I wouldn't remember you. You're my most handsome customer." She snapped her fingers. "Are you looking for your lover?"
Jefferson rolled his eyes. "Did my girlfriend come here?"
"Of course. I didn't expect your girlfriend to be so beautiful. No wonder you like her." She laughed softly. "At first, I didn't know she was your girlfriend. But hearing her talk about you, I'm even more convinced that she is."
