The diary didn't look like an ordinary one. Her eyes welled with tears as she picked up the cloverleaf-shaped diary. Her trembling right hand opened the seal on the expensive leather cover. Then, she read the first page, her mouth gaping open.
"Welcome to my world, Ella. I hope you really like my surprise."
Carabella turned her head to look at her best friend, who was still standing a distance away. "What book is this, Jeff?"
"You have to read it to the end so you know what the contents of this book are."
Eventually, Carabella read each page of the book. At first, she thought it was just a simple diary, but it revealed Jefferson's true feelings. Furthermore, she didn't realize Jefferson had been writing this diary for six years, since they first became friends, as she saw the date, month, and year written in the corners of each page.
"She's so beautiful. Every time I spend time with her, I feel like I want to live."
