Carabella had suspected that Jefferson's intention to dance with her was simply to preserve his reputation. From the start, she hadn't expected him to genuinely empathize with her, as a perfectionist CEO wouldn't be willing to go to such lengths. Moreover, the perfectionist CEO was engaged and soon to be married. All she could do was serve the couple.
Although she had always thought to herself that Jefferson would never truly care for her, what he did when he came to her, putting on her shoes, giving her snacks, covering her cold body, and even offering her advice was beyond her expectations. Because all of those things were exactly what she wanted in her current situation. Thanks to that sweet gesture, her hatred was slowly starting to fade.
Satisfied with her conversation with her employer, Carabella took off the expensive suit and returned it. "Thanks for the cookies."
