Carabella nearly choked on the last bite of her chocolate cupcake. Her eyes were hard to blink, as the CEO's gaze seemed to threaten to tear her apart. Despite being the CEO's personal assistant, she was hiding behind her best friend. In this situation, she wanted to protect her friend, because she wasn't entirely in the wrong.
Jefferson, on the other hand, witnessed this forbidden scene, causing his blood pressure to rise. He immediately ordered Raul out of the room and shut the door tightly, intending to violently expel Flint.
"I ask you again, Flint. What are you doing in my room?!"
Flint spontaneously gripped his best friend's hand tightly. "Of course I wanted to visit you, but I just happened to run into Carabella here."
The corners of his lips lifted as he stared at the box of cupcakes still displayed on the table. "Are you going to buy me cupcakes?"
"As a sign of our friendship." Flint winked his right eye making Jefferson almost vomit.
