Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: A New Acquisition for the Gremory Clan

Rias:

Seeing that her pawn was acting against her surprised her, since no member of the Occult Research Club had ever done so. She couldn't deny that she liked this aspect of the situation, as she sometimes went against her own family. For now, she simply looked at everyone and said,

"Well, I think Angelica has anticipated our plans, since we also have the mission of eliminating those fallen angels, and I ask that you not interfere in their fight. Only if you see that she is in danger should you help her, so Kiba and Koneko, I'm entrusting her to you."

After that, the girl turned around, and Akeno followed behind her.

Akeno:

She already knew they had an important mission, and now she realized it included those fallen angels who had attacked Angelica. And she wouldn't let them get away with it, since that afternoon they hadn't given her the chance to fight one-on-one and had only attacked her while she was distracted.

"I see you're very upset, Rias. Did you get jealous seeing Angelica with another girl?" she said, a smile forming on her face.

Rias

blushed slightly when her relative told her they'd gone to several places and had fun, but she wasn't jealous, she was envious because Angelica could go wherever she wanted and spend time with whomever she pleased.

"That's not it, Akeno, and don't say things that are irrelevant. It's because of another problem I have: Angy can be with whomever she wants, and that's why I'm a little envious."

After that, she just sighed, as she didn't want to be in this arranged marriage.

At the club.

Kiba:

He was preparing himself because he wouldn't let his teammate get hurt, and that's why he had to give it his all. "Well, Koneko, did you hear President Rias? We'll only go in when we see Angelica in trouble, and I know she's strong and won't go down so easily." The boy simply opened the main door of the club since they were going straight to where the enemy was.

Koneko:

Her face was expressionless, which was to be expected since she almost never showed any emotion. But now she had a mission: to protect her friend. She would do it without hesitation since Angelica had been kind to her. "I won't let them hurt her," she thought. "If they do, Angy definitely won't share her sweets with me anymore, though I still haven't forgiven her for sometimes stealing my cookies." She remembered when she saw Angy steal some candy and tried to catch her, but the girl was too fast and she couldn't reach her. However, she did receive candy from Angy as an apology

Elsewhere.

Angy:

I was already in front of the church and had to face Freed again, but this time I would give him what he deserved for trying to hurt Asia. That's why I just sighed and, opening the door, said,

"Come out, old man, since I know you're here and you'll stop me from going down to get my friend Asia."

I was ready to fight him, but I noticed that the church was completely silent, so all I did was summon the gauntlet and break through a secret passage. Before entering, I just looked around again, saying,

"I see things have changed, since Freed should be defending this area. I'm sure I changed a lot when I came to this world."

Meanwhile, in the back were Rias Gremory and Akeno Himejima, but they weren't alone. Three fallen angels stood before them, and upon seeing who they were, the red-haired girl unleashed her power, determined to make them pay for what they had done to her pawn. She had to eliminate them in the name of the Gremory clan. The fallen angels tried to harm the heiress, but her friend prevented it. Because of what they had done, Rias unleashed the power of destruction, obliterating the fallen angels.

Rias:

She wore a satisfied smile, having finally released her anger towards the Fallen Angels. " Well, Akeno, it's time we went to observe the wielder of Draig. I suppose she'll get her revenge here for what those Fallen Angels did to her, and besides, they have her friend." She simply turned away and headed straight for the church entrance.

Angy:

I had already eliminated the priests who were there, and Reynare was standing right in front of me. Luckily, I arrived just in time before they hung Asia on that cross, and all I had to do now was eliminate this fallen angel. I wasn't going to show her any mercy since they only took advantage of the blonde's kindness.

"Well, get ready, Reynare, because I'm going to wipe that damn smile off your face and make you beg for your miserable life."

I had to be careful not to increase the gauntlet's power too much, or the same thing would happen to me as before. This was because my body can't handle much power yet, which was to be expected since I almost never exercise. But when all this is over, I'll have to, because if I don't, it will cause me a lot of problems in the future.

Reynare:

Her plans had fallen apart, and the priest Freed had to abandon them since he had another mission to complete. Now, all that remained was to fight that girl, and she knew very well that she was no match for her, so she simply smiled. But upon hearing that, she became enraged and summoned a spear, saying, "You'll regret saying that, you filthy demon, and when you're dying, I'll make you watch me make your friend suffer right in front of you."

Angy:

I couldn't let my guard down, since this fight was meant to prove I'm a good Draig wielder, but most importantly, I have to protect my friend and I won't let what happened in the anime happen to her.

— Because I want her to choose whether she wants to be with the demons or remain a simple human. —

After saying that, I just sighed, because no matter what she chose, Asia would always be my friend.

Asia:

She certainly hadn't been mistaken about the person standing before her. From the very beginning, she'd realized Angelica was a good person, and now she was proving it. She simply placed her hands over her chest and said, "Please, God, help my friend in this fight."

As she said this, she saw Angelica clutch her head. Listening to what she'd said, she nervously replied, "I'm sorry, it won't happen again."

Angy:

I was ready to beat the crap out of that fallen angel, but for some strange reason, that pain returned, and I just turned around to see Asia praying. She must have told God to take care of me.

— Don't say that anymore, Asia, it affects me too. Remember, I'm a demon, and if you say that, you'll only hurt me. —

I wasn't angry with her; she was probably worried about me, so I just fixed my gaze on Reynare again, used a burst of the Booster Gear, and ran towards her, hitting her.

The girl had struck the fallen angel, but she wasn't going to stand idly by and began to counterattack. However, she hadn't expected Angelica to be able to dodge her blows, and since she was already angry, she began to lose her patience, which Angy took advantage of. Thanks to this, she had several places to strike Reynare. The members of the Occult Club were watching the fight and were happy to have a strong friend who could defend herself.

Rias:

Still leaning against the wall, she watched as her pawn proved to be strong, and this brought a smile to her face. She was sure that with the girl's help, she could break off the engagement. "With your help, I can do it, Angelica, and if I do, I'll be eternally grateful to you."

Angy:

After landing the final blow, I could see that she was somewhat exhausted, and now my friend Asia could rest easy. So I walked straight to the blonde so we could leave. I know it's wrong to let her live, but she'll surely learn in the future not to mess with Asia since she has someone who can protect her.

So I just thought to myself, "I know that in the future Reynare can help me stop Kokabiel's plans. For that reason, I'll spare her life, but I have to pretend to eliminate her because if I don't, Rias will, and my plans will fall apart."

So I just smiled at Asia while telling her to cover her eyes since she wouldn't like to see what I was going to do. Then I slowly walked over to where the fallen angel was, and kneeling down, I said, "Well, Reynare, I'll let you live, but this blow I'm about to give you will send you flying far away from here, and I just hope you don't really die."

— I could see the girl's scared face, but I couldn't hear what she said because I had already launched my attack.

Reynare:

Her fear had vanished upon hearing those words, and she was going to thank her for it, but when she heard that she could die, the fear returned, and before she could say anything, she had already been sent flying. She only managed to say, "I won't forgive you, Angelica, if I live."

With that, the girl burst through a wall, shattering it, and particles from the attack could be seen leaving the scene, making it seem as though she had been eliminated.

Angy:

Since I'd been using the booster gear for so long, it was falling to the ground, and I knew it was going to hurt, but someone caught me and just placed my head on their lap. It was the blonde girl. So I just gave her a half-smile while raising my right hand and showing her my thumb.

"I think you're free now, Asia, and I don't think anyone would want to hurt you since you have a friend who can protect you right now."

A drop of sweat appeared on my face because I was exhausted, and my previous wounds had reopened, which I could see because my skirt was stained. "Well, I can't do it right now because I'm hurt, but it doesn't matter because I would give my life to protect Asia."

Asia:

She couldn't be sad at that moment, since she had someone important in front of her. She managed to catch her before she fell to the ground and gently placed her head in her lap. She smiled at her and brushed off the dust, but then noticed she was still hurt, and without hesitation, she began to tend to her wounds.

"Thank you for what you've done, Angelica, and I'm truly happy to have such a good friend. I promise I'll take care of you and heal you when you're hurt; I wouldn't leave you to your fate."

With that, the girl leaned closer to Angelica and kissed her cheek in gratitude.

Angy:

I knew I had a good partner, and that was Asia, but when I saw her approaching me, I thought she was going to kiss me on the lips, which didn't happen, and I was grateful. I turned my head slightly toward the entrance and saw the Gremory clan. I noticed Akeno with her perverted look, and Rias seemed somewhat annoyed.

"Well, Asia, I need you to help me up. We have to go to my friends to explain what happened. Don't worry, they won't hurt you."

"I hope so, since they wouldn't attack a defenseless girl."

Rias:

Seeing that her pawn was getting along so well with a former church member, she was annoyed. But for now, she just went straight to where the girl was and said somewhat seriously,

"I see you broke the rules, and let me tell you, I'm disappointed in you, Angelica."

There was a silence in the room, broken only by someone's voice, and she simply turned to where that voice came from.

Asia:

Because of her, she had gotten her friend into trouble and had to apologize to her friends. That's why she broke the silence and leaned forward slightly, saying,

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused. I didn't punish Angelica because she's a good person and my first friend, and if someone has to be punished, it should be me."

She was a little afraid they wouldn't accept her request and didn't want to see her friend hurt any more.

Angy:

Yes, the story of this place has changed. I was supposed to have Kiba and Koneko help me against the followers of the fallen angels, but it didn't happen because I had to face them myself. There was no problem; they were probably watching me since Mitel, Kalawarner, and the other one didn't appear. They were surely eliminated by Rias.

What did surprise me, though, was seeing Rias angry with me. The place fell silent after what she said, and when I was about to speak, Asia apologized, taking the blame. I wasn't going to leave her alone, so I bowed and said,

"I'm sorry, President Rias, but I couldn't leave Asia alone. Besides, she probably wants to join us, and that could be good for the Gremory clan."

After hearing the girl's words, Rias crossed her arms, and indeed she was right. But she wasn't going to force the girl to join, so they simply asked if she wanted to be part of the group, which she accepted without hesitation, mainly because her friend was there.

Things ended well, as Rias had ordered everyone to leave, and Asia would spend the night at Akeno's house while they found her a new home.

Rias:

Before her pawn left, she took her hand and led her to a secluded spot. Gazing at the moon, she said,

"I'm truly impressed with you, Angelica. You're so strong, and you've shown that tonight. I'm sorry if I was harsh with you, but I don't want anything to happen to you. You're my dear servant, and it's my duty to protect you."

With that, she approached Angelica and gave her a hug.

Angy:

I really didn't expect that from what she said, but it didn't matter since I knew very well that the girl was very protective. All I did was return the hug while saying,

"It's okay, Rias, because I would do the same for you. You're important to me, and I have to protect you at all costs, and that's why I want you to trust me."

I think it sounds really strange coming from me, but she's my friend, and I won't let anyone hurt her, and that includes all the members of the Occult Research Club.

Rias:

Upon hearing those words, she blushed and felt pleased to hear them. She simply pulled away from her and kissed her cheek, saying,

"That's your reward for defeating a fallen angel tonight. Besides, you're a good person, and I hope to continue watching you grow, Angy."

With that, the girl turned and started walking straight home.
