Chapter 2 - chapter 2

Jay reminded himself again: This is just a test. Nothing more.

> [Target: Sonia]

Age: 21

Beauty Score: 86

Affection: –10

Seeing the negative affection, Jay sighed internally. As expected… this girl only likes money.

Still, perfect for experimentation.

The two of them arrived at a fancy restaurant—not a cheap café, but not the kind of ultra-luxury place only billionaires walked into. Just enough shine to attract gold diggers.

They took their seats. Jay passed Sonia the menu. "Order whatever you like."

Sonia didn't hesitate. She immediately pointed at the restaurant's signature dishes—high-end items totaling $5,000. It was the kind of order only someone used to being spoiled would choose.

After placing it, she casually asked, "Where's your girlfriend today?"

Jay's voice remained flat. "Camila broke up with me."

Sonia fell silent. She wasn't stupid—she knew when to speak and when to keep her mouth shut. This topic was dangerous ground.

The food arrived. They ate quietly. When they finished, Jay paid the bill without blinking.

A crisp notification echoed inside his head:

> [You spent $5,000 on a woman. Double cashback granted: $10,000.]

Jay opened his banking app.

Balance: $20,000

A slow smile formed on his lips. The system works perfectly.

He looked at Sonia. "Let's go shopping. I want to buy you a gift."

Sonia instinctively frowned. "Jay… today Camila broke up with you, and now you want to patch up with me?"

Jay laughed lightly. "No. I don't want you to be my girlfriend. I just want to spend some money and relax. That's all."

That answer satisfied her. If he didn't want romance, then there was no emotional burden. Which meant—free gifts.

She followed him without another word.

They entered the mall. Jay walked straight to the luxury handbag boutique. Prices here started at ten thousand and went all the way into the millions.

Perfect.

He scanned the shelves. Then his eyes locked onto one elegant designer bag—price tag: $20,000.

He bought it instantly and handed it to Sonia.

Her eyes sparkled with genuine happiness. Real happiness—free gifts always worked on her.

Inside Jay's mind:

> [You spent $20,000 on a woman. Cashback granted: $40,000.]

[Sonia: Affection +5]

Sonia held the bag like it was a crown jewel. For a moment, she saw Jay not as Camila's discarded dog… but as a walking treasure chest.

Jay smiled politely. "Shall we check some more items? If you like anything, tell me."

Sonia opened her mouth to reply—

but suddenly, a sharp voice came from behind them:

"Jay! What are you doing here?"

Jay and Sonia turned.

Standing there, with shock and disbelief in her eyes—

was Camila.

And she had not expected to see Jay…

much less with Sonia,

in the most expensive boutique in the mall.
