Xander dove straight into the river to rescue his fallen master. Fortunately he was still alive.
"My Lord, get a hold of yourself!!" Xander screamed as he pulled him out of the river.
"X-xander, is that you?" He managed to say.
"Yes my Lord, it's me"
"X-Xander, that's not Abbey"
"Whaat??"
"That's not him, true that's his body but someone's is inhibiting inside him" The feudal lord explained.
"How sure are you?, he tried to harm you and he's brought calamity to Cairhien"
"He mentioned BIWA seat, there's no way Abbey would have known about the BIWA seat because in the whole of Cairhien it's only you and I that know about that since it pertains to Xenox's death" the feudal lord explained further.
"BIWA seat!!" Xander screamed in rage. The same BIWA seat that killed his brother has also come to destroy his homeland. Of course he wasn't going to allow it.
"I'll face them" Xander said as he got up.
"Xander, I have one request"
"What is if my lord?"
"Please save Abbey"
"That's been mg duty all along. I'm bound to serve the royal household" Xander took a bow before running towards the city.
Chaos filled Cairhien. The screams of people and the howling of monsters filled the air. On top these screams, a heinous laughter spread across the city.
"Today, Bel Tine would be the last celebration of Cairhien. After tonight Cairhien ceases to exist!!" Abbey kept shouting out loud as disaster plunged the city.
"We have to help them!!"
Lorainne swung into action as she created a large tornado while Chiad supported by channeling his flames to the tornado. Lorainne sends the tornado towards a herd of monsters burning them to crisp.
"Wow, amazing" Nathaniel said in awe.
"Which place is the safest place here?" Chiad asked.
"That should be Lady Gitara's tower, people are already seeking refuge there" Seren answered as he pointed to the direction of tower.
"Good, get everyone to the tower, we'll hold them off" Chiad instructed.
"Are you two gonna be okay?"
"Who'd you take us for? We're mages of Ente Isla, a few gastreas can't do us anything"
"Gastreas?"
"The humanoid monsters, that's what they're called. The most dreadful part about these monsters is that their wounds are poisonous, make sure you're not injured since they're no healers around" Chiad explained.
"O-oka--"
Immediately three gastreas attacked Seren and Nathaniel. Nathaniel creates a flame ball and blasts one of them but the other two already gained on them.
"Oh no, I'm not gonna make it" Chiad thought only for a big ball of flame to cremate the two monsters.
"I don't remember giving you trash permissions to touch my boys" A voice was heard from behind. Twas Xander.
"Dadd!!!" The boys shouted, it's as if their hero had showed up.
"Are you alright?"
'"Yeah, we're okay"
"Good, head towards the tower, we'll hold them off" Xander instructed them as they took to their heels.
"Let me see what my brother's team is made of" Xander said
"Let's see if you're really his brother" Lorainne commented as he creates wind slashes and cuts a monster into shreds. Xander also blasts fire at some monsters turning them to ash.
"Not bad, indeed you're qualified to stand beside my brother"
"Same at you, you're indeed his brother" Lorainne commented.
"Oh, oh, you're still here? Seems you guys want to die so badly" Abbey said from behind.
"Go help the others, he's mine" Xander instructed.
"And why is that?"
"I was given a royal order to save the Prince and that what I'll just do"
"Alright then, please don't die ok, I have something to tell you" Lorainne said.
"Oh please, I can't croak just yet. You're just worrying yourself" Xander boasted.
"If you die I won't forgive you!!" Lorainne said as she and Chiad left the scene to assist others.
"Abbey why'd you do that? He's your father" Xander asked with anger.
"Oh you hell of a butler, always getting on my nerves. I really should put you to rest" Abbey said as he readied his fan for combat.
"I see you won't back down, I have a question for you after I have defeated you" Xander said.
"You're cocky asking for demands when you're nearing death"
"Say that after you have defeated me" Xander commented.
"I'll give you the honor since you're one foot from the grave. What did you want to ask ?"
"You're from the BIWA seat right?"
"Yes, so what of it?"
"I'm sure you're families with the name Kirigan"
"What do you have with Master Kirigan?" Abbey said with a frown.
"If I defeat you, you'll tell me his secret art"
"And why should I tell you that?"
"It's simple, someone I loved was affected by his secret art and by the looks of it I have a strong feeling that person is alive" Xander gave his reason.
"Well you made a statement, only if you've defeated me would I answer your questions, let me see you try!!" Abbey said as he blows his fan, creating a large wind blast.
"Getting hotheaded won't get you nowhere"
Xander diminishes the blast with his fingers.
"Ohh, not bad" Abbey commented as he sends multiple wind slashes towards Xander but Xander dodges them.
"I don't expect you to be running all your life you trash butler"
"I wasn't planning on doing so"
Xander creates a flame lion that releases a laser like blast towards Abbey. Abbey creates a wall of wind to block the attack but the attack hits him.
"Aah!!" Abbey screamed in pain.
"Oh before I forget, I haven't asked your name" Xander said.
"What do you mean you trash??"
"Don't think I'm stupid, you're not Abbey. There's no way Abbey would have known about the BIWA seat. He was still a toddler at that time"
"I see you've gotten me. It's Mirapolos, you scoundrel"
"I'll remember that".
Xander creates balls of flame and sends it to Abbey but Abbey creates a tornado to intercept it.
"You're foolish you know, wind increases fire's strength" Xander said as he mixes the flame with the tornado, forming a flame tornado.
"Whaat??"
"Taste your own power with flame combined" Xander sends the tornado to Abbey, burning him.
"Ouch, so hot!!" Abbey screamed in agony.
"I must say you're trash for a BIWA seat. Makes me doubt if you're even one of them" Xander commented.
Xander looked to see a bug crawling out of Abbey's ears.
"So that's your true form"
The bug was about to escape but Xander was quick to grab it.
"Not so fast, if I remember correctly you owe me"
"Please spare me, I'll tell you anything " Mirapolos the bug pleaded.
"What's Kirigan's secret art?"
"He uses the soul detachment art. If he has your soul, you become his slave and he summons you to fight for him. If you prove useless, he extinguishes your soul" Mirapolos let the cat out of the bag.
"Whaat??"
"But there are three souls Lord Kirigan doesn't paly with. The last one he acquired 20 years ago even fought him even when the soul was stolen so he keeps that one jealousy, if I can remember he calls him Xenox"
"So he's alive" Xander said with a drop of tear in his eyes.
"You know you're stupid. Although I had to reveal my master's secret it gave me time to summon him!!" Mirapolos shouted at the top of his voice and array was formed. A figure was seen emerging from the array. Twas Kiragan
"Please master, save me!!"
"Quiet down Mirapolos, you couldn't even take care of---" Kirigan was taken aback when his gaze fell on Xander.
"T-that's impossible, how are you here, Xenox??"
