Chapter 6 - Next Za Monday

Monday – Assigned Seats & Unfinished Business

The moment Kiran hit that shot on Friday, he whispered:

"Oh shit—I'm gone."

And he sprinted home like someone pressed the fast-forward button on his life.

He wasn't about to be around when Mikayla's parents walked onto that court and saw their daughter on the floor like a fallen NPC.

---

Monday Morning – First Period

He strolls into class half-asleep, hoodie half-on, backpack hanging open like always.

He glances at the board…

Assigned seats.

He slides into the seat next to his new partner, sees the name tag, and his whole brain freezes:

Natasha Julianne Andrews (hoodie girl or Mikayla mix up).

Of course the universe hates him.

She sits stiffly, hood up, notebook open, pretending he doesn't exist.

He clears his throat.

"Uh… I'm Kiran."

She doesn't even look up.

No nod. No "okay."

Just ice-cold silence.

She is absolutely still mad about what happened at the park.

So, naturally, he pulls out his phone and checks his bank app instead of the lesson.

And there it is.

$4,000. Deposited.

Right on time.

He smirks.

She glances over and sees the number on his screen.

Her eyes widen.

"That's fake."

She doesn't say it out loud, but her face says it clear.

He notices her staring.

And he makes the stupidest, goofiest expression possible—

somewhere between a confused owl and a guy holding in a sneeze.

From her point of view?

Funniest thing she's ever seen.

She bites her lip, trying not to laugh.

Tries to focus on the lesson.

Doesn't work.

Because in her peripheral vision, she sees him staring out the window like he's over life itself.

All dramatic for no reason.

She snorts.

A tiny chipmunk laugh slips out.

He turns slowly, dead serious, like she just insulted his entire bloodline.

She panics, grabs her water bottle, takes a sip—

And chokes.

PFFFT—

Water explodes all over the desk, her notebook, her pencil case—everything.

Kiran immediately stands up.

"I— I gotta pee—"

The teacher doesn't even look up from the attendance sheet.

"Oh no. Uh-uh.

Come back and clean this mess up first."

The entire class loses it.

Kiran stands there, dying inside, bladder screaming, thinking:

"Bro. This is my villain origin story."
