Suddenly Matsumi would feel extremely dizzy.
"Oh…how'd you get us here?"
He held his head.
"A power?"
"…This world is my home…I was born and created here…"
Urieru waved her hand as the three were transported to a space. One with a red floor. Nothing but darkness ahead. She floated next to them.
"Matsumi Ryokō and Kurai Hatake…This world is your home as much as it is mine.."
He landed on the floor, stumbling a bit from how disorienting this whole situation was to him.
"Huh? I've never seen this place, I'm not from here."
A dark figure would start to move forward from the red distance. Urieru watched on silently. As the figure moved closer and closer, Matsumi and Kurai's heads would start thumping, a sharp pain started to shoot through both of their heads, a high pitched noise ringing through their ears.
"Ah!"
He held his head again, this time with both hands as he winced in pain.
"What is that?!"
"It is the one you must seek. The being that will give you the power to save Barghest from the Sins. They are everything you could ever want. Perhaps, they could even grant any wish you'd like. I believe god is what the humans call it."
"Then..! Tell it…!"
He struggled to get his words out from the severing headache, but his message got through just fine.
"To stop all that noise already!"
The noise suddenly stopped. There was a deafening silence as Kurai stopped holding her head from the pain. Urieru turned to them.
"You will meet your maker. Here and now."
At that moment Urieru vanished. Leaving the two to stand on the red concrete that rested beneath them.
Matsumi, on his knees now, slowly let go of his head. Drops of sweat dripping on the red floor.
"I knew that girl was gonna mess with us again...!"
"I believe she isn't lying...I've felt it in my Mana reserves and my eyes since I was small. She could be onto something....I trust Urieru. She isn't just a normal person."
"All she did was almost make my head explode! Only thing I'm feeling right now is wanting to scream at her!"
He was still very emotional and easy to rile up, wasn't hard to get him angry.
"Now we're stuck in this stupid place!"
The figure moved from the shadows into the light. She looked at Matsumi and Kurai silently, holding a bat in her hand as she put her hands on her hips.
She was probably the same size as Kurai, maybe a bit taller.
She had on casual clothing, something Matsumi and Kurai would see on an individual in the streets of Ashina or Yoshiwara.
Her small red eyes were the same as Matsumi and Kurai, except hers had a small white heart in the center of her pupils, and they were glowing. A small radiating noise emanated from them.
"A Hatake and some random family....This is unexpected. I didn't think our family would mix with theres."
He turned to the voice, raising an eyebrow.
"What is it this time?"
He squinted his eyes to get a better look at her.
"Some other god or something?"
"God?…"
Just like how Matsumi did, Eraba got close and analyzed him.
Ridiculously close.
"I am no God. I am human just like you."
Their noses were touching from their distance to each other. Close enough so he could get a good look at her eyes.
"No way. Nobody has eyes like that, you won't trick me so easy! But…it does look pretty cool."
"That's because of our ability of course..it has nothing to do with anything. I do everything that you do. I eat, I sleep, I shit…everything you do I also do."
"Our ability? What the heck are you talking about?"
"What do you mean? You seriously don't know?"
"Don't know what? Who are you?"
"I'm Eraba Reta Sāmatu! You can just call me Eraba though....Allow me to explain..."
"You better! You can't just say I don't know about something and then not say it!"
"Well...have you ever felt funny?...About your eyes to be specifically."
"Uh, I don't think so…I guess they feel a little funny right now, ever since we were brought here. But what's the big deal? Everyone feels funny sometimes."
"Long ago a family used to run the first humanity…the head of our family was the one who you may have heard of. The strongest human in history: Toyoko…you've heard of him right?"
"Toyoko? Yeah, I heard of him! Barghest told me about him a little while ago. But what does that have to do with me? Isn't he like super old?"
"Toyoko Sāmatu is your direct ancestor. Matsumi Ryokō and Kurai Hatake. You are direct family members of the Sāmatu…and all three of us are related by blood. You both have an ability deeply stored within your conscious. A power that can save this world from the man known as Yufūkuna Nayvadius III.
His jaw dropped almost comically, his eyes in disbelief.
"No way! Are you for real?! I'm related to both of you?! Haha!"
He was clearly more focused in being related to Kurai and Eraba than Toyoko. Wrapping his arms around Kurai and jumping in excitement. Matsumi's annoyed mood had completely dissipated. Kurai sat there rolling her eyes as Matsumi hugged her.
"Yeah..it is true..even though it's not by much. The DNA traces are very thin. We're probably maybe..only twenty five percent related at most?"
"That's fine! Oh man, I have to show you guys around Leordoba now!"
He let go of Kurai.
"Dad needs to meet you!"
"Leordoba?…What the hell is that?"
Eraba scratched her head in confusion.
"Some kind of country or something?"
"It's where I grew up in! A town a few days away from Ashina!"
"Sorry. I don't know where either of those locations rest. I'm not familiar with that side of the world."
"That must mean that she is from the other side.."
Kurai whispered to herself.
"Huh? Then…where are you from? Actually…"
He looked around to really notice where they were.
"How'd you even get here? How do we get out?!"
"This is the world egg of the Sāmatu…the concept of domains originally developed from the Zenin and our family."
Eraba scratched her head.
"You don't know about the other side?"
"Urieru said something about this being our home but then she just left…The other side? Is to some other cool place with magic?"
"Yes. This is where the Sāmatu originated…This is Akai Tsuki. The red moon where our family was born…"
Eraba thought about how to answer his second question.
"The other side is the side of the earth that is not accessible to people who live on your side of the planet. There lies many countries…Yes. There is a lot of magic there…Magic that you have probably never heard of."
"Really? I have to go there someday! I'll have to ask Barghest when we get her back! But we gotta get outta here first. Is it really a moon? Like in space?"
"Yes. If you want to get technical we're all part alien..and the originals are full aliens."
"I'm part alien?! This just keeps getting crazier…Does that mean I can read minds?"
"Well maybe with your eyes but if im being honest probably not."
"Oh, that sucks. What about tentacles? Or maybe bones made from goo so we're all flimsy?"
"I don't recall ever seeing something like that from our family so no…probably not…but you could probably do that with actual magic."
"Aww, I wish I could do magic stuff already!"
He sighed.
"Whatever…is there like an exit door from here?"
"Yes. I can transport us to the tenth floor."
"Really? Then let's all go!"
"Are you sure?"
"Well, what else is there do here? We were in a hurry before we got taken here."
"You're right I apologize…come follow me."
Eraba started to walk forward into the darkness, disappearing from their sight.
"Hey, wait up!"
He followed her as close as he could.
"Where'd you go?"
A small black door sat in front of Matsumi and Kurai.* He grabbed on to the doorknob.
"Is she not coming? Hey, Eraba!"
Eraba was nowhere to be seen.
"Lets just go. She seems to have an interest in us. She might already be on the next floor."
"Everyone is always so fast to go to the other floors…"
He entered the door, leaving it open for Kurai.
