Satsujin started to walk through the environment, as cold as it always was in the frost kings territory. To her, the actions she was going to commit were simply a means to an end. Perhaps, wrong to a large amount of individuals but to her she paid it no mind. It was necessary, it was something that balanced the universe. She thought the peace of the world was rather fragile. Good? Maybe. Enjoyable? Sure. Safe? Absolutely. But there was something bothering her about it that had caused her to get to this point. She wasn't far at all. She could turn around and live an average but very great life. Something like Mamba Zenin. But she despised that stature. That unwillingness to be free, yet her movements alone changing the world around her.
She put her hands in her pockets, sitting on a bench. Tight black Jeans. A loose white top, Tan sandals that were illuminated in the night. Casual in her appearance. She stared at the moon. Relaxing in the kingdom that she could freely roam due to her innocence and status in the real world. She was the Head of Yoshiwara's academy's student council. She had access to anywhere with an unlimited travel license and the highest form of a mana license, one that had been decorated with stars, and upgraded to a SSS badge. She wore it proudly despite her disdain..however, she almost felt lost in it..as if her life could be different. Was her dream truly correct? Was it okay for your dream to harm others?
Atsui Hebi had arrived shortly after. Their attack on Ashina brought a new feeling to the Spirit World Morale. Soon, tensions will rise with the spirit world and their military. Something that was almost absent from their mere boring lifestyle before all of this, the need to bring pure order to the world had influenced this great act of terrorism against the mortal kingdom. He knew deep down Heiwa would be hesitant to do this act and how it might scar her forever, but he also knew he needed her to obey and follow Satsujin as he didn't want her to be treated like waste. He approached Satsujin with a straight face.
"We finished the job… the kingdom is in disarray and we bought ourselves some time We sent a message. It was mostly Heiwa that was able to pull it off. Witn the usage of the Spirit World's emblem they'll understand who sent that same message."
"Great work. Our plan is coming to fruition. Soon the spirit world is going to have to enter this realm to investigate." She folded her hands in her lap."
"One more move will be made, and the two will then feast on each other..from there we can move forward.." She pondered on the girl. Her poor soul. She knew that Heiwa was practically going to serve as a toy soldier in this debacle. "Really? So you're sure she's going to continue with the plan? I don't need anybody to abandon post halfway through. If we're going to do this, she needs to be committed"
Atsui nodded in full belief that Heiwa would always follow him, his own feelings and manipulation tactics would prove to be effective against those with a weak willpower.
"Yes, it's for the greater good of the spirit realm itself so I fully believe she is with us."
Satsujin was going to continue but she held up a hand. The streets were empty as she breathed in and out, mist forming from her lips. She whispered to him, only she and him could hear anything further. "Somebody is close. Switch the subject. Anything. Doesn't matter."
Atsui nodded and looked up to the moon. "Have you seen the phases of the moon lately? It's a lot different than what we could see back home."
"Have you ever thought about what the moon represents? Sure, it's a planetary object..but have you ever thought deeper beyond the surface about it?"
Atsui shook his head thinking about what that could possibly mean. "The phases are kind of like people, you think it affects people in the way that the sun being out would too?"
"I think it does..I mean why wouldn't it? The day cycle represents the human soul..our essence and connection to God." A man had entered the scene walking in. He cut into the conversation effortlessly. He was dressed in a black robe with white undergarments. He had a small necklace around his neck, a cross dangling from his chest. He looked on silently.
"Fancy seeing you two here. I didn't know you were acquainted. You know what they say though..opposites attract..then again..maybe you two aren't as juxtaposed as we think you are."
Atsui turned to the man and thought of his response quickly. "I'm not a believer in a God… it depends on what the mind believes in that leads to the afterlife but I don't believe in a true afterlife. Only the present and what that will bring to the table."
"There's nothing wrong with that..If you don't see him now you'll see him in the future…that doesn't answer my question..but I suppose I never asked one. What are you two doing here at this time of night? More specifically this kingdom? Ive never seen you two together. Just a bit..new to me."
Atsui walked up and put his hand on Satsujin's shoulder smiling. "She's helping train me, I have a bad sleep schedule right now and the guide of the moon helps me as well."
"…Ah I see...You wouldn't mind if I and a friend joined your session then? I think we could shake some rust off ourselves." He smiled back, petty in the way he just offered.
Atsui wasn't visibly annoyed by Jiga's sudden intrusion but was mentally annoyed with the fact that they couldn't be left alone by this man. He nodded and pointed towards the man. "Whenever you two are ready…"
"Before we start…" He held his hands out giving him a smile still. "We may want to move areas..is this truly the place to train when the spirit world is currently looking for you in the physical one?" He laughed to himself. The church naturally traveled between the worlds in order to keep order. They immediately found out about their disappearance.
Atsui's eyes widened and he quickly fixed his expression to a smile. "So you know what's going on then? Maybe it would be better off training somewhere else then…"
He moved his hands, holding his cross up.
"I'm with the church. We're currently investigating. I'll do you a favor and I won't draw the frost king or any of his guards out here..let's move and have a little conversation shall we? And..don't bother trying to flee. We've got sights on you from every direction."
Atsui hesitantly kept his hands upwards in a defensive stance. He waited for Satsujin to make the first move either complying or not.
"Well comply. We have nothing to hide." She smiled back.
Atsui lowered his hands almost instantly. He nodded his head in agreement with Satsujin.
