Elisabeth's POV
I cannot tolerate this man. Every fiber of my being screams in protest at his very existence.
Julian threw his head back and laughed, the sound rolling through the cabin like thunder. His complete lack of shame made my wolf snarl beneath my skin, and I gripped the armrest to stop myself from launching across the narrow aisle to tear that insufferable smirk from his face.
"You people are absolutely ridiculous," he said, shaking his head while settling back into his seat like he owned the entire aircraft. "The look on your face was worth everything." He stretched his arms above his head with theatrical satisfaction. "You cannot locate her, none of you can track her down, yet somehow you expect me to have magical knowledge of her whereabouts? I had zero investment in the soap opera you call existence. Hilarious."
My hands balled into fists until my nails bit into my palms. "Something is fundamentally broken in your brain. Seriously broken."
