Chapter 2 - — Preliminary (BONUS)

Long before humans learned how to write their names, before mankind forgot the language of stars, and before the age of steel and electricity started, there was a time when the world was guided by the Guardians.

There came The First Guardian from the distant star, Starbearer who descended carrying the light of Lumen to the newborn world, as if planted a seed in fresh soil. Then it blossomed into something exquisite, called Lumina. It carried more than just energy but life. Every breath of the Lumina brought prosperity across the land, oh how spoiled humanity was. They were blessed. There were no more ordinary humans.

Then, Starbearer continued his journey across the land and sea, to find more Guardians with whom he could entrust the world, so the balance of Lumina could be anchored.

In the brightest horizon, he arrived in the Celestial land where he could find the first guardian—that in the legends foretold, wherever its antlers pointed, the lost shall find their way. The second guardian was where the Pharaohs ruled over the land full of sands, they said even ashes dream of burning to become stars once more. Then, he found the third one as he flew above the Motherland, where the sky may break before the Dragon bows. The last one he found as he dived deep into the sea—where the sea moves, yet the foundation remains.

In the darkest horizon, he stepped into the place where the light was consumed by the shadow of leaves, he uncovered that not all paths lead home. The second was when the head meets the tail, sands melted into false hope, then came where fate repeated again with no signs to reach the dream. The third one was in the darkest spring where he discovered the serpent's tail of the eight heads breaking the sky's rule and custody no longer existed beneath the heaven watches. The last one was found in the deepest abyss where a storm hides beneath the safe island, like a monster hiding under a kid's bed.

Of all the eight Guardians, he granted the light of Lumen—as the Lumina to the Guardian that he chose, may they bring hope to the world.

He, who as The First Guardian bestowed the Lumina to the world, watched mankind expand throughout the land. Thus, humanity flourished in peace, unplagued by havoc, carrying the light to every corner of the world.

By the hope of Lumina, may all the beings in this fragile world find its light to the glorious path.

But such a shame indeed, even the brightest stars must one day fade. Time itself could not be defied beneath the heavens. Long after, he faded away without any words to the world he had taken care of and no longer could be found.

Without its deliverer, no Lumina will be delivered to the world.
