Chapter 89 - Chapter 89

REVIEWS AND POWERSTONES PLSSS!!!!!Chapter 89: Demon Realm

At the edge of Universe 7's North Galaxy, a green planet slowly rotated. In the vast cosmos, this world was nothing more than an insignificant speck of dust.

But today, two visitors from beyond arrived.

"Turles, are you sure you didn't sense wrong? We still haven't found your guy."

After a month of searching, Turles and Bulma had followed Porunga's provided coordinates, transferring most surviving Saiyans to Red Stone Planet.

Of course, not all had been willing to leave with Turles. But under his iron fist, resistance wasn't an option.

This planet was their current target.

Sensing the planet's life energy again, confusion flashed through Turles's eyes.

"No mistake—this is definitely the planet. But why isn't there any trace of this Saiyan's ki? Did he already leave?"

Turles had encountered Saiyans who'd departed their original planets before. But according to this planet's natives, this Saiyan shouldn't have left.

"Bulma, let's keep searching. If we still can't find him, we'll have to give up."

Turles truly had no other options. If this Saiyan had genuinely left the planet, continuing the search would just waste effort.

Hearing this, Bulma could only agree.

The two took flight, preparing to continue their search.

But just as they'd barely gotten airborne, a device in Bulma's hand suddenly began emitting a piercing alarm.

They immediately stopped. Bulma examined the device, discovering massive energy fluctuations displayed on its screen.

"What's this?" Turles leaned closer, staring at the data somewhat puzzled.

While watching the device's readings, Bulma continuously adjusted the directional settings, casually explaining to Turles, "This is one of my recent inventions. It not only detects life energy—like how you sense ki—but can also detect non-living energy sources."

Hearing Bulma's explanation, Turles immediately looked at her with a peculiar expression.

Sometimes Turles genuinely admired these scientific geniuses. Just from him explaining ki sensing principles once, Bulma had actually created something like this. Moreover, it appeared even more advanced than his sensing ability—capable of detecting non-living energy.

If so, then aside from combat power, Bulma had basically replicated all his abilities through technology—and made them even stronger than the originals.

With the space ship, they could not only instantly traverse anywhere in Universe 7, but according to Bulma's designs, eventually even cross between universes.

For ki sensing, there was now this energy detector. Though Turles knew the energy detector was based on scouter technology, Bulma had still achieved significant upgrades.

Turles believed if this universe truly had a God of Technology, Bulma would definitely be a leading candidate.

'Hey? Actually, that's not impossible!' Just as this thought occurred to Turles, he suddenly remembered that one of the twelve universes' Gods of Destruction had apparently achieved that status with a mechanical body.

If Bulma also created combat power rivaling Destroyer-level strength, such a possibility wasn't entirely out of reach.

While pondering how to help Bulma become a deity, Turles suddenly noticed her descending below. His heart immediately jumped as he dove after her.

Thud!

Both landed on the ground, staring at a cave mouth continuously emanating an ominous aura.

The cave entrance wasn't large—just wide enough for two people. Wisps of purple mist drifted from within. Turles tried seeing inside clearly, but no matter how hard he tried, he could only make out three to four meters ahead.

"Bulma, is it here?" Turles's voice carried weight. He could feel this cave's ominousness. That purple mist even made him somewhat uneasy.

Bulma looked down at her device and nodded. "That's right—here. This is where the planet's energy fluctuations are strongest. Plus, there are many powerful life signatures inside!"

"Hmm?" Hearing this, Turles felt surprised. He extended his senses, carefully probing the cave. Sure enough, he discovered several ki signatures.

Turles frowned. He'd found these signatures extremely weak—not at all like Bulma described. If not for his sensitive perception, discovering them would've been difficult.

Turles stopped Bulma from entering the cave. Brow furrowed, he glanced inside. Still couldn't see anything. He advised Bulma, "This place is too bizarre. You shouldn't go in."

How could Bulma possibly agree? She immediately glared at Turles, demanding, "Turles, what do you mean? I'm the one who discovered this. Now you want to leave me behind?"

Bulma in her youth had adventured alongside Goku and the others. She certainly wasn't some hothouse flower. Moreover, she now possessed battle power far exceeding ordinary Earthlings. She definitely wouldn't listen to Turles.

After speaking, Bulma ignored him and charged straight into the cave.

Seeing this, Turles felt somewhat troubled. But he didn't dare let Bulma rush in alone. He could only quickly step before her, firmly protecting her behind him.

Watching Turles's broad back, Bulma smiled slightly.

They slowly advanced into the cave.

The deeper they went, the thicker the purple mist became. Turles's brow grew increasingly furrowed. He grasped Bulma's hand, slowing their pace.

After walking for who knows how long, they finally reached the cave's end. Surprisingly, Turles saw several creatures resembling demons.

Black horns and barbed tails—they truly matched Turles's mental image of demons. Currently, these creatures patrolled with weapons, seemingly guarding something.

Behind them stood a half-open bronze gate. Purple mist continuously poured from the gate.

Turles clearly saw one demon—apparently the leader—take a deep breath of purple mist. An intoxicated expression crossed its face. Then Turles sensed this leader's ki increase slightly.

Turles and Bulma exchanged glances. They retreated several steps, hiding behind a boulder.

"Turles, what are those? Demons?" Bulma leaned close to Turles's ear, whispering.

Turles shook his head, indicating he didn't know either. Then as if thinking of something, he whispered, "Wait here. I'll handle these things."

With that, Turles's figure flashed, appearing before the demon-like creatures.

Discovering an enemy, the creatures immediately released piercing shrieks. Then they charged at Turles, wielding their pitchforks.

Turles didn't waste words. His form continuously flickered. Less than three seconds later, only the demon leader remained.

"!@##@¥#"

Witnessing Turles's terrifying combat power, the demon leader spoke incomprehensible words. Then it dropped its weapon and fled toward the gate behind it.

Seeing he couldn't understand their language, Turles stopped holding back. He condensed an energy blast in his hand, firing directly at the fleeing demon.

The demon had just reached the gate, a smile barely forming on its face, when its upper body exploded into fragments. Only its lower half collapsed before the bronze gate.

After eliminating these creatures, Turles beckoned to Bulma, then stared at the demons' corpses, lost in thought.

Bulma walked over to Turles. She curiously glanced at the ground corpses, then looked up at Turles's expression. "What's wrong?"

"Oh! Nothing!" Turles recovered, glancing again at the corpses on the ground—especially the black symbols on these creatures' heads.

Looking up at the bronze gate before him, Turles's expression grew grave.

Bulma also noticed Turles's abnormality. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder beside him, she watched the patterns on the bronze gate. After a while, she asked softly, "Turles, should we still go in?"

Bulma wasn't someone who couldn't read situations. From Turles's expression, she already knew the gate's other side must be extremely dangerous.

"No. You're not going in."

This time, Turles's tone was absolutely resolute, giving Bulma no chance to argue. After speaking, he grasped Bulma's hand and activated Instant Transmission, vanishing from the spot.

Shortly after, Turles's figure reappeared. Watching the bizarre bronze gate, Turles stepped through.

Passing through the gate felt like penetrating an invisible barrier. Next instant, he appeared in another place.

Red magma flowed across the earth. The entire atmosphere reeked of sulfur. Looking up, a bizarre purple-red celestial body hung in the sky, making the whole world appear exceptionally eerie.

Seeing this scene, Turles grew even more certain of his inner suspicions.

If he wasn't mistaken, this space was Dragon Ball world's Demon Realm—the world where Demon King Dabura resided during the Majin Buu arc.

Turles glanced back. A spatial rift floated in midair. Presumably, the bronze gate lay beyond the rift.

Turles surveyed his surroundings, mentally marking this spatial rift's location. Then his body slowly ascended.

Stopping in midair, Turles carefully sensed this world's life energy.

Soon, he discovered many ki far exceeding his own. Several even made his heart palpitate.

After choosing a direction, Turles began powering up, rapidly flying that way.

When Turles reached the ki signature he'd sensed, he saw two creatures battling—one was his target.

But just one glance made Turles involuntarily frown.

On the ground, a human boy less than five feet tall was fighting a demon creature similar to those Turles had just eliminated.

From the boy's combat style, Turles could tell he was extremely familiar with these creatures. Every attack targeted their weak points.

Unfortunately, the boy's battle power was somewhat low. In Turles's perception, the boy possessed 5,000 battle power, while his demon opponent had 8,000.

Even though the boy consistently targeted weak points, the demon creature dodged every attack. So within moments, the boy fell into disadvantage.

After narrowly dodging a fatal strike, Clark's form sharply retreated. He watched the opposing Rift Flame Demon warily.

Currently, Clark felt somewhat regretful. He stared at the Rift Flame Demon while thinking how to escape.

Last time, Clark had accidentally provoked this Rift Flame Demon. He'd barely escaped with his life, spending half a year recovering from severe injuries.

Because recovering from serious wounds increased his battle power, the confident Clark immediately sought revenge. But unexpectedly, he still wasn't this demon's match.

"Not good—it recognized me!"

Seeing the Rift Flame Demon's expression, Clark's heart tightened. He immediately guessed this demon had recognized him.

"&*...&%"

The Rift Flame Demon pointed at Clark, speaking incomprehensible demon language. A savage grin gradually spread across its face.

Clark's eyes darted around, searching for escape routes. But the Rift Flame Demon had already seen through his intentions. How could it let him escape again?

The Rift Flame Demon slowly approached Clark. Its giant scythe dragged along the ground, carving a deep groove.

Seeing escape was hopeless, Clark abandoned the idea. With a loud shout, he prepared to charge forward and continue fighting.

Just then, a brilliant energy blast rapidly descended from above, accurately striking the Rift Flame Demon.

Clark immediately stopped, surveying his surroundings uncertainly.

Boom!

An explosion sounded. The Rift Flame Demon's body completely vanished. Only a large crater remained.

Clark didn't relax his guard just because the demon died. He knew whoever eliminated this Rift Flame Demon might not have saved him—it could be an even stronger demon.

But soon, Clark dropped his wary expression. Face excited, he watched a figure slowly descending from midair.

Thud!

Turles landed. Before he could speak, the boy before him stared excitedly. Next second, the boy rushed right up to him, excitedly asking, "You came to retrieve me, right?" After speaking, he looked at Turles expectantly.

"What? How do you know I came to retrieve you?" Turles felt somewhat puzzled. He hadn't notified anyone in advance. How did this boy know?

"You really came to retrieve me! I knew it—Planet Vegeta wouldn't forget me. After all, my dad is an elite warrior!"

Hearing Turles's response, Clark grew even more excited, continuously spinning in place.

"Hmm?" Turles felt even more confused. But he quickly reacted. This young Saiyan must have misunderstood.

Seeing the boy still spinning, Turles couldn't take it anymore. He directly grabbed him, explaining, "Seems you've misunderstood. I'm not sent by Planet Vegeta to retrieve you. Moreover, Planet Vegeta was destroyed over ten years ago."

"Over ten years ago? Impossible!" Clark didn't believe Turles's words. He immediately objected, "I received my mission and came to this planet just five years ago. Plus, Planet Vegeta has so many powerful Saiyans. Who could destroy it?"

After speaking, he even looked at Turles with pitying eyes—as if saying, you can't even remember simple timelines correctly, are you sick?

Turles didn't mind the boy's expression. Instead, he grabbed his shoulder, urgently confirming, "You're saying you came to this planet five years ago?"

"Yeah!" Clark nodded somewhat bewildered.

Seeing Clark nod, Turles's expression darkened. Then as if thinking of something, he immediately powered up and shot skyward, flying toward where he'd come from.

Clark was directly blown away by Turles's sudden ki explosion. When he stabilized himself, Turles had already flown far away. He didn't dare delay, immediately following.

But Clark's speed was simply too slow. Even using all his strength, he still couldn't catch Turles. Soon he lost sight of him.

Currently, Turles's heart held an ominous premonition. He quickly flew to the location he'd marked. Seeing the empty space, his heart completely sank.

His body descended. Turles stared at where the spatial rift had been. His expression was dark enough to drip water.

Shortly after, Clark finally caught up. Seeing Turles's expression dark as water, he carefully asked, "Clansman, are you alright?"

Turles glanced at Clark without speaking.

A Cave.

"You're saying I've only been here five years, but twenty years passed outside?"

Clark looked utterly incredulous, crying out in shock.

"To be precise, you spent three years on that planet, two years in this Demon Realm—twenty years passed outside!" Turles expressionlessly corrected Clark's statement.

Actually, the first time Turles saw Clark, he'd mentally prepared for the time differential between Demon Realm and outside.

After all, Clark looked far too young—completely appearing underage.

The result matched Turles's expectations.

Through conversing with Clark, Turles understood his experiences.

According to Clark's account, he'd received his mission to cleanse Kakule Planet—the planet Turles had arrived at—in Age 736. After one year of space travel, he'd reached Kakule Planet.

Because of Kakule Planet natives' warm hospitality, plus his naturally kind disposition, Clark decided to simply live on Kakule Planet for three years to satisfy Planet Vegeta's mission requirements.

But just as Clark prepared returning to Planet Vegeta, having discovered demon creature traces, Clark passed through the bronze gate into the Demon Realm.

Clark had thus been trapped in the Demon Realm two years. But he didn't know twenty years had passed outside.

Moreover, Clark's father was one of Planet Vegeta's elite warriors. Though he looked down on Clark's kindness, he'd always paid close attention to his genius son.

So when Turles appeared, Clark's first reaction was that his father had sent someone to retrieve him.

From this, Turles calculated the time differential between Demon Realm and the real world: 1:10. Meaning if he stayed here several more years, even Beerus might've already awakened.

"No way!"

Turles suddenly stood up, startling Clark. He immediately watched outside the cave warily, shouting, "What's wrong? More Rift Flame Demons?"

Rift Flame Demon was Clark's name for those demon creatures—because they had two abilities: shattering earth and breathing fire.

Turles glanced at the nervous Clark, ignoring him. Just closed his eyes, placed fingers on his forehead, searching with maximum effort for Red Stone's Saiyan ki.

But no matter how Turles tried, he couldn't sense any ki. A barrier seemingly separated the two worlds.

Currently, Turles somewhat regretted teaching Broly and the others the ki-hiding technique.

After trying for a long time, Turles could only helplessly give up. Somewhat dejected, he sat down.

"Turles, what's wrong?" Clark belatedly realized his overreaction. Seeing Turles's dejected appearance, he immediately asked.

Turles looked at Clark's concerned face, feeling somewhat comforted. He explained, "Nothing. Just might need to stay here a long time."
