Chapter 66: More Wishes

"Your wish has been granted. Please state your next wish!"

As Porunga's words fell, Turles carefully examined his body but detected no unusual changes. He couldn't help but look at Porunga with some doubt.

However, the next moment Turles dismissed his suspicions. Given Porunga's nature, there was no reason for him to lie.

Next, Turles stated his second wish: "Please completely resolve the mental instability of Broly—the Legendary Super Saiyan!"

Broly's problem was a thorn in Turles's heart.

With Broly's natural talent, if he could train like Turles did, his battle power would increase at a terrifying rate. It wouldn't take long before he met the conditions to transform into a Super Saiyan.

When that happened, even if Frieza came after them, he'd just be a dish on a plate before Broly.

But Turles didn't dare let Broly increase his power right now. The terror of his mindless, destructive rampage still gave Turles chills.

On Earth, Turles had asked Mr. Popo about this, but even with Popo's knowledge, there'd been no good solution. Out of options, Turles had saved this problem for now, hoping Porunga's power could resolve it.

Nail didn't know what the Legendary Super Saiyan meant. He simply translated Turles's wish to Porunga faithfully.

Porunga fell silent again. After a long while, he finally spoke: "Broly is a Legendary Super Saiyan who appears once every thousand years among Saiyans. He carries the concentrated bloodline of ancient Saiyans—power that rivals true deities. I cannot grant this wish. Please make another."

Turles's heart sank.

This was the first time Turles had heard of ancient Saiyans—and that their power rivaled true gods. This was undoubtedly strength beyond normal limits. No wonder Broly's talent was so absurd.

Still, Turles wasn't ready to give up. He continued, "Then provide methods to solve Broly's problem."

This wish was much simpler. After hearing it, Porunga directly stated several methods. But after listening, Turles's expression darkened.

Porunga's first method was to find Dragon Balls of a higher tier to grant the wish. According to Turles's knowledge from his previous life, the only ones that qualified were the Super Dragon Balls.

Setting aside that the Super Dragon Balls were distributed across the Sixth and Seventh Universes—even if Turles learned Instant Transmission and gained the ability to travel between universes, collecting the Super Dragon Balls from Universe Six would be a monumental challenge.

Each Super Dragon Ball was the size of a planet. To transport even one would require unimaginable strength. And taking Super Dragon Balls from under God of Destruction Champa's nose? Turles would have to be tired of living.

The second method was to find a true deity who could use divine power to solve Broly's problem. After all, Broly only possessed ancient Saiyan bloodline power—he wasn't an ancient Saiyan himself.

But this method wasn't easy to achieve either. The deities who qualified were beyond his current reach—beings like Whis and Old Kai. Meanwhile, gods like Kami and the North Kai didn't count as true deities in Turles's eyes.

The final method gave Turles some hope for achievement: find a safe method to greatly increase mental power.

If Broly could significantly increase his mental strength, then as long as he didn't exceed his mental power's limits, he could continue raising his normal battle power.

And the planet Turles had wanted to visit—Yardrat—very likely possessed such techniques.

This second wish had been wasted. Not only had it failed to solve Broly's problem, but the three methods were either impossible to achieve or things Turles already knew.

With only one wish remaining, Turles hesitated before pulling out a metal box from his clothes.

Opening it, Turles extracted a golden seed—a Spirit Tree seed.

He'd kept this seed on his person since harvesting it, but he'd never been able to get past his moral reservations. So Turles had never used it like in the original story to boost his battle power. Now he'd ask Porunga to see if there was a win-win solution.

"Porunga, I need a method to plant the Spirit Tree normally without harming life-bearing planets."

"A Spirit Tree seed?" Hearing Turles's wish, the Grand Elder looked over in surprise.

"The Grand Elder knows about Spirit Trees?" Turles turned to the Grand Elder in surprise.

"Yes. When I was young, I traveled extensively and saw records of Spirit Trees on one planet. According to legend, this tree flowed out from the divine realm. The fruit it bears can only be eaten by gods. I never imagined you'd possess a Spirit Tree seed."

The Grand Elder looked at Turles with astonishment. He hadn't expected Turles to have such fortune. What surprised the Grand Elder even more was that Turles hadn't planted the seed.

Turles honestly explained how he'd obtained the seed, then continued, "However, if a Spirit Tree is planted on a life-bearing planet, it absorbs all the planet's life energy to produce fruit. I don't want an entire planet destroyed because of me, which is why I wanted to ask Porunga."

"I see. Turles, you truly don't act like a Saiyan," the Grand Elder sighed with emotion.

"From what I understand, if mortals consume Spirit Tree fruit, their battle power increases tremendously. As a Saiyan, for you to resist this temptation—that's truly remarkable. It seems my choice was correct."

The Grand Elder naturally didn't know that Turles wasn't a native Saiyan, which was why he praised Turles's character so highly. If it had been the original Turles from the movie, he'd probably be planting trees across the entire universe by now.

"Your approach is correct. If the Spirit Tree truly requires absorbing an entire life-bearing planet's energy to produce fruit, and you gave in to greed and destroyed planets, you'd accumulate great karmic sin. The Supreme Kai wouldn't ignore it either—and then your doom would be sealed."

The Grand Elder truly lived up to being a Namekian who'd lived over three hundred years. He knew far more about the universe's secrets than most.

Turles nodded. Beyond his past life's moral boundaries, his hesitation to use the Spirit Tree seed stemmed from these concerns. Though Turles looked down on the current Supreme Kai, he wasn't someone Turles could afford to provoke right now.

The surrounding Namekians quietly listened to Turles and the Grand Elder's conversation, not daring to breathe loudly. They felt their previous lives had been wasted—they'd never imagined such secrets existed in the universe. Many young Namekians developed thoughts of venturing out to explore.

"Grand Elder, do you know how to plant Spirit Trees?" Since the Grand Elder was so knowledgeable, Turles asked directly without hesitation. Maybe he could save a wish.

Hearing this, the Grand Elder chuckled softly but said nothing.
