Chapter 36 - 36. Drak'thar

Yuki's heart pounded as she clutched the hilt of her Kanata and lowered her gaze to the ground. But Owen stood his ground, wings spread, his golden eyes locked onto the red dragon's gaze.

"I'm....Owen" he said. "And this is Yuki."

The Red dragon's eyes flicked to Yuki, then back to Owen.

"A dragon tamed by a human? Disrespectful" the red dragon growled as the pressure intensified.

Ding!

[You're under the aura pressure of a SS-Rank Greater dragon]

Owen in disbelief used his [dragon eyes] to scan and got some of the info of the red dragon

"Preposterous!" Fey'rath roared, breaking Owen's activation of his dragon eye. "How dare you little brat gaze upon me with [dragon eyes]!?"

Yuki's hand moved to her katana, but Owen's voice stopped her.

"Don't. If this dragon wanted us dead, we'd already be dead"

The red dragon tilted its head. "you're damn right about that, little brat"

Owen stiffened, shocked that his telepathic speak to Yuki had been heared by the red dragon.

"It's all magic, brat. I won't be a greater dragon if I couldn't Feel the flow of yours"

Then flames and steam resulted from the dragon's body as the vapour and light obscured vision, his large silhouette started shrinking then when the vapour resided, a middle age woman, curvy and busty in more ways than Yuki ways, in a long red robe that barely hid her breats and spiky red hair that has two red horns protruding from her scalp, she stood where the red dragon had stood.

Yuki's mouth fell open.

Owen blinked. "Holy... those are even bigger than Yuki's-..."

"Finish that thought and I'll roast you alive, brat". Fey'rath said flatly.

Owen's mouth snapped shut.

"Now you shall answer my questions, how did this..." Fey'rath said, pointing at Yuki. "...Come to be"

Owen nodded slowly. "She....I....we made a pact"

The dragon's eyes widened.

"Hmmm, seems plausible, I don't feel the master slave connection a proper tame would have with it's master, from you two" fey'rath said and she folded his arms

"But be that as it may, you are going to come with me. Not only did I witness you manipulate time, I sense royal bloodline from you, and it just so happened...the dragon king's egg is missing."

A silence followed as Fey'rath scanned Yuki and Owen with an intensity that sent shivers down their spines.

Fey'rath then straightened up, her presence still overwhelming despite her human form. "I am Fey'rath, Fifth of the Dragon King's Greater Dragons. And you, little brat, are coming with me to the Dragon Kingdom. Now."

Owen wanted to argue. Wanted to refuse. But the look in Fey'rath's eyes, and the sheer power radiating from her, told him refusal wasn't an option.

He glanced at Yuki. "We don't have a choice"

Yuki nodded weakly, still struggling to breathe under the residual pressure. "I know."

Fey'rath's lips curled into a faint smile. "Smart. Follow me then."

Flames erupted again, and Fey'rath's human form expanded, her body twisting and growing until the massive red dragon stood before them once more.

She lowered her wing. "Climb on, human. Unless you'd prefer I carry you in my claws like prey."

Yuki swallowed hard and climbed onto Fey'rath's back, gripping the dragon's scales tightly. They were scorching hot, almost burning through her gloves, but not quite.

"Hold on tight" Fey'rath rumbled. "And brat, keep up. If you fall behind, I'm not coming back for you! Hahaha!"

Owen spread his wings. "I can keep up."

"We'll see"

Then she launched into the sky with explosive force.

They flew for what felt like hours.

Owen flew beside Fey'rath, his smaller baby dragon form dwarfed by her massive wingspan. Even pushing himself, he struggled to match her speed. But with the [momentum shift] he was able to keep up.

"Damn it. The size difference is too much."

Yuki clung to Fey'rath's back, her eyes wide as they soared over the Kingdom of Averion: forests, rivers, villages, and eventually, mountains that seemed to pierce the clouds themselves.

Fey'rath dove toward one particular mountain, a colossal structure with waterfalls cascading down its sides and caves carved into its face.

But as they drew closer, the air Trembled.

And then, reality twisted.

The mountain split open, not physically, but dimensionally. A tear in space revealed a hidden realm beyond.

"The Dragon Kingdom" Fey'rath announced. "Few mortals have ever seen it. Consider yourself privileged, human."

She flew through the dimensional tear.

And Yuki gasped.

The Dragon Kingdom, Drak'thar, was breathtaking.

It was a pocket dimension nestled within the mountains, a vast realm of floating islands connected by bridges of crystallized mana. Waterfalls defied gravity, flowing upward into the sky. The air itself glowed with magic, making Yuki's skin tingle.

And everywhere she looked, there were dragons.

Hundreds of them.

Some soared through the skies in their true forms, massive, majestic creatures of every color imaginable. Red, blue, green, black, silver, gold, white. Their scales glittered like gemstones in the twilight of the pocket dimension.

Others walked below in humanoid forms, conversing, laughing. Some wore elaborate robes like Fey'rath. Others wore armor. Some stood around naked, just their natural draconic features, horns, tails, wings, and buttocks on full display.

It was a civilization.

A dragon civilization.

Owen stared in awe, momentarily forgetting his exhaustion. "This... this is incredible"

But as they flew deeper into the kingdom, he noticed something.

Some Dragons were staring at him.

Some looked confused. Others looked shocked. A few looked openly hostile.

One silver dragon in humanoid form, a tall man with ice-blue eyes, pointed at Owen and whispered urgently to his companion. Another, a massive green dragon in full form, veered closer mid-flight, its serpentine eyes narrowing as it studied Owen's black scales and golden eyes with intense scrutiny.

A group of young dragons in humanoid form stopped their conversation entirely to gawk at him as he passed.

Owen shifted uncomfortably. "Why are they staring at me like that? Do I have something on my face?"

"Ignore them..." Fey'rath said curtly. "Your bloodline, your aura is... unusual. They're curious. And suspicious."

"Suspicious? Of what?"

"Of what you are..." Fey'rath's said with an unreadable tone. "Black scales and golden eyes... that combination belongs to who Rules Us, the Dragon king. And he and his egg is missing, then you show up?"

"Oh..."

"Yeah...Oh, Indeed."

Owen gulped.
