Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

A cold wet breeze blew into the room, making Yuri woke up from the sudden chill. She sat up from her bed slowly, then turned her head towards the opened window. The white curtain flutters as the wind blew in. Her eyes dazed into the gloomy sky, where only dim sunlight were able to escaped from the gray clouds, trying to enliven the mornings of the livings. There are no birds chirping as it bathe in the morning sun, and no voices greeting each other hoping that their days will start off on a good note. Other than the sounds of leaves rustling and the deep howl of the wind as it blew, there was only silence. This silence made Yuri close her eyes, as she slowly take in a deep breathe.

She can smell the rain. It is that smell of wet soil and leaves that linger in the air before the rain itself falls onto them. The smell of calmness before the storm. It is a scent that Yuri quite like.

Yuri then slowly open up her eyes again after she breathed out.

It feels weird. Like a pressure that has just lift off from her chest, but at the same time, something in exchange went in. Not good, not bad, just weird.

She have felt it ever since she woke up from the dream. It was a dream...

"...a dream..."

Yuri softly chanted out as she dazed into the gloomy sky again. Right. She had a dream, a dream that she can't remember. What was she doing in that dream? Where was she in that dream? What did she say in that dream? Was she with someone or was she by herself?.....She doesn't remember anything. She just knew she had a dream. A dream.

Her deep brown eyes continues to stare lifelessly at the gloomy sky, until she saw hint of raindrops hitting her window. That was when she got up from her bed, and start getting ready for the day. She was about to wear her maid uniform until something catches her eyes. She saw the reflection of the scar that is on her lower abdomen through the full size mirror that is in front of her. She touches the scar. It was the scar that she got after she got stabbed out of the blue in her original world before getting transmigrated into this novel world. It all started from then.

Because of that nonsensical moment, she died. Then her whole body and soul transmigrated all together into this world. To be honest, transmigration was more boring than Yuri has expected. Everything was going as expected for the plot, and she is pretty sure that whatever happen in that trial between the main characters will also follow along the basic route of transmigration plot. Villains will get their karmas, main characters will get their happy endings, the world will become peaceful. The End.....But it's fine. Since she's the side piece of this world, it's not like the ending of this world really matters to her. Be it either happy or sad ending, as long as that person is here in this world with her, it is fine.

Thinking about him made the corners of Yuri's lip lifted a bit, forming a small smile on her face. Without wasting anymore time, she quickly changed her white night gown to her black and white maid uniform. The same type of uniform that she wore everyday. Without missing a beat, she went out to the kitchen where the priest attendings shoed them yesterday, to pick up her lady's breakfast. Then, she carried the breakfast to her lady's room. Seeing that other two maids are already in the room assisting their lady's dressing, Yuri starts to lay out the tableware for the food. After their lady finished her food, that is when the maids can have their breakfast one at a time. It was Sisi first, then Emily, and lastly, Yuri. Usually, there would've been loads of house chores for the servants to do, but since they are currently residing in the monastery, other than attending their lady, they have nothings else to do. Maybe it was the weather, or maybe it was something personal, but it seems like their lady are in not in a good mood for a walk today, so they have stayed in the room with her the whole time. Once the night hits, and their lady have finished her supper, that is when the maids once again go have their supper one by one.

It was Emily, then it was Sisi, then lastly, Yuri. Once their lady dressed up and got ready for bed, was when the servants finally able to go back to their room and rest. Just like that, the days have been repeated similarly, until the trial day was near.

The day before the trial, Sabrina suddenly wanted to walk around the monastery before the sun sets, after finishing her meal. So her three maids followed behind. Other than picking up meals from the kitchen for Sabrina these past couple of weeks, this was the first time that Yuri got to explore the monastery ever since she came here. Though it's not like she was excited for it, but a change of scenario made Yuri sighed a relieve in her heart from the same repetitive scene that she went through. These past weeks have been pretty gloomy, where sunlight barely hit the soil, and only showing up for a moment in the middle of the day, and today was the same. The reflections of the starry night and the warm color sunset through the golden white marble interiors that were decorated all over the monastery, seems like they were only memories.

Sabrina doesn't know where her feet is taking her, but she just let her feet stroll through the marbled floor. From marbled to concrete and from concrete to marble again. As she slowly walk down the path, her three maids follow right behind her in silence. Yuri look up, and saw that the gloomy sky is getting darker, signifying the end of dawn and welcome of the night. Since the clouds will be hovering over the moon and the stars tonight, Yuri hope that the monastery people will light up more candles and torches, so that the road back to their building will be easier to find. Afterall, she's already misses her bed. Yuri doesn't want to waste time any more time trying to find the road back to their rooms because of their lady's aimless stroll. But then, Yuri suddenly saw something interesting.

Across from them, where plants and bushes divides, Yuri saw a eye-catching familiar light pink hair and her tiny cute-like doll face, erupted behind the plants and bushes the divides them.

---Right! I almost forgot that Vanessa Carlson was supposed to be living in the monastery also!!---

Yuri thought to herself with a bit of excitement. She looks at the back of the owner with velvety dark green hair.

---Seems like Sabrina hasn't noticed Vanessa's existence yet---

Yuri sneaked a smirk on her face.

---I guess its not that aimless of a stroll after all....----

Yuri starts to get more and more excited of those two porcelain dolls meeting each other in an unexpected moment. Then Finally!! As Sabrina walks closer and closer to where Vanessa is, both of them locked eyes. Sabrina halted her steps and Vanessa stopped her hands that were in the middle of touching the flowers that were in front of her. A moment of silence fill the air. Soon, Sabrina was the first one to break the silence and slowly said

"Hello....I was not expecting to be meeting you so soon, Lady Vanessa...How have you been feeling?"

Vanessa didn't say anything, instead she rolled her big round eyes at Sabrina.

---OMG! Are they about to do the infamous cat fight??!!---

Yuri gasped quietly as her eyes kept going from Vanessa's direction to Sabrina's direction.

"Lady Vanessa...I'm not sure what I should say right now, but soon, you'll will know the truth that I was not the one that tried to harm you..."

Sabrina spoke carefully to Vanessa as she doesn't want to create troubles before the trial start.

Vanessa turned doe like eyes toward Sabrina and didn't said a single word. Instead, a big smirk went across her cute little face, and walked away.

---Oooh~~ 0:1---

Yuri looked at Vanessa's back as she walks way from them, then Yuri looked at Sabrina's face. A shocking look can be seen in Sabrina's beautiful face. It's like she just saw something very unexpected.

---What the....She didn't expect Vanessa to be a b*tch at all?---

Yuri wasn't sure if she should question Sabrina's IQ or EQ. After all, she thought that Sabrina's original, before she came to this world, had read a lot of novels where the plots should be similar to the current situation that she is in. So she should've at least had a 50/50 chance guess that Vanessa could be a b*tch.... Or is Sabrina that naive and innocent that she couldn't understand the difference between a fake b*tch and an actual retarded person? Like she really thought that all those innocent acts in the banquet were actually real?

---B*tch please---

Yuri rolled her eyes.
