"My lady please don't!"
"Stop!" the moment Lady Elyria returned, triggering that succession of atmospheric disasters, the elderly members of house Valthorne set out, bolting towards their matriarch.
The sight of Elyria about to stomp the King's favourite hussy into a mess of burning blood and bone debris scared them out of their wits. And from Nexon to the elder nobles, all rushed towards Elyria, casting force fields of raw Arcane energy in a desperate attempt to stop their leader from causing a disaster.
At the same time, ten high grade soldiers with scarlet armour and black capes dropped from the sky, surrounding Elyria in another force field. The aura force field was a common ability among strong humans, but the difference between the Valthorne higher-ups forcefield and these soldiers's was like the gap between a mushroom and an oak tree.
And how else could it be when these were the Knights of the Royal Family? Ranking only under the commanders that led the Kings strongest army.
This was the day the 3,000 Royal guards, including their officers, were supposed to join the Valthorne's for the Sunshine City assignment. Their leaders had arrived early, hoping to clarify the expectations and power balance with the Valthorne higher ups.
But never did they expect that before they'd get a chance to straighten things up, Elyria would light her house on fire, about to crush the head of the Kings favourite hussy for all to see.
These Knights didn't care about why or how Hillary had offended Elyria. But there was no way in hell they could allow the Queen Mother's favourite maiden to get killed under their watch, to say nothing that several of these men were devoted Hillary admirers, hoping to get it good with her and have an affair behind the Kings back.
The forcefield cast by the ten Knights overshadowed the Valthorne's efforts, crashing into Elyria's shoulders like rolling boulders, and stopping her dead in her tracks.
"Lady Elyria, please restrain yourself!! no matter how Lady Hillary has offended you, she is, after all the property of the king. What you are doing right now is unfortunately no different from humiliating his mother…"
"The House Valthorne cannot face consequences of this offense" the head officer of the Knights asked. But here, Elyria bit her lower lip, causing a burst of orange flames to blast through out the courtyard, lighting plants on fire as walls of heat smashed into the Knights, sending them crashing towards the ground.
With another burst of her energy, Elyria hurtled into the air, riding the trails of fire as she kicked at the leading Knight officer's skull.
Kraa!
It cracked instantly, bursting into blood and brain matter. She then whirled to the side, displacing one of the knights from his sword, engulfed it in flames and hacked at another Knights neck, beheading both of them with no effort.
"What in Helios name has gotten into her!!?"
"My Lady you have to stop!! you have gone too far" the Valthorne higher ups broke down in panic, begging their dear matriarch to seize her actions. They too were also in fear that she would turn and decapitate them as well.
The seven remaining Knights couldn't believe it. And yet this was the truth. In broad daylight, Elyria was murdering officers of the royal family with reckless abandon!
This is an act of treason and is punishable by death in the laws of the state!
But Elyria refused to stop the madness, and with a shrill cry, turned into a hurricane of flames, rotating like a twister as she tore through the Knights and ripped them into literal shreds.
The leaders of the Royal guards sent by the King himself to act as Valthorne backup in Sunshine City were now all murdered by Lady Elyria.
In less than a minute!
"Its over… its bloody over! House Valthorne's thousand year old glory is over! Elyria, you good for nothing bitch! What was the offense? What was it that made you forget common sense and doom my house to oblivion? Why couldn't you compromise?!" Nexon snapped, falling on his knees, and banging his fists on the grassy floor of the courtyard.
The Royal guards was an extension of the King, and the Knights were their leaders who only answer to the King and were treated as brothers to the King.. it was no exaggeration to say that the Royal guards Knights were closer to King Percival that his own children.
But ten of them had been brutally murdered by the Valthorne matriarch.
This surely an act of treason, and Percival's anger would soon sweep through the Valthorne estate, bringing the ancient house to complete annihilation!
"If they want to come at me, they can come at me! How dare they touch my son!!"
"I cannot forgive it, but you want me to compromise? Is that a fucking joke?" here, Elyria paused, summoning a massive flame spear in her hand, and she glared at one of the elders of the Valthorne nobles.
She knew what Elyria meant by that eye contact and started shaking her head, crying and yelling all soughts of plea. "Please oh dear matriarch, don't make me do this! This is treason against the state! I don't want to be a culprit!"
The noble Elyria was glaring at was someone who had a mutation that allowed her to open entry and exit portals between places that she has seen with her eyes. Basically, she was the teleportation merchant of the House Valthorne and Lady Elyria has been known to massively exploit her abilities in the past.
"If you don't open a portal for me that directly points at the Kings palace this instant, I will release this flaming spear at you, and amplify it a thousand folds before I do so… the King will come for us any way, you choose when you are going to die, now or later!"
Without wasting anymore time, the noble performed a mudra and a magic circle burst open on the ground, above it a swirling violet portal and if you peered deep into the portal, you could see the walls of the royal castle.
"You think this is the end? I am only getting started and I will not stop before the bitch that sent Hillary to my house is fucking dead! If only Percival could hear me!! you hug your mother every single night because I am coming for her, and I will not rest until she is six feet under!"

She sent the blinding flames into he portal and within seconds, it smashed into the Royal palace.
Elyria didn't stop there, she stepped through the portal and under the horrific eyes of all across the capital, she beheaded all in her as she carved open a bloody road towards King Percival and his mother.
"Prepare yourselves. We will flee Emberfall Citadel and take Kael to the Ember Crown Empire." Nexon ordered, the elder nobles lowered their heads, sighing in a mix of shame and frustration.
Still, they didn't waste a second in following Nexon's orders, because just like that, the House Valthorne was reduced to an entity that no longer had a future in the Ironforge Dominion.
