To prepare, the Hashira begin a special program to strengthen every Demon Slayer for the final war.
Training posts appear across the mountains, forests, and old courtyards.
Each Hashira takes charge of one style of training:

The training grounds come alive with noise, wind, and shouting.
Tanjiro, Sans, and Papyrus step onto the field where each Hashira has prepared a brutal training course.

Tomioka stands on a narrow wooden log floating on a pond.
"Stand here and maintain balance.
If you fall, climb again."
Tanjiro steps on carefully.
Papyrus jumps on with full confidence—

He sinks instantly.
"BROTHER!!"
Sans laughs softly and teleports onto the log.
Tomioka stares at him.
"…Teleportation is cheating."
Sans shrugs.
"nah. just efficient."
Tanjiro practices the breathing rhythm.
Papyrus keeps falling, shouting:
"I SHALL CONQUER THIS EVIL WATER BALANCE EVENTUALLY!"

Sans moves like he's half-asleep, barely tilting his head to dodge.
Shinobu raises an eyebrow.

Sans replies:
"nah. just lazy."

Uzui flexes dramatically.
"WELCOME TO FLASHY TRAINING!
LIFT ROCKS!
SWING WEIGHTS!
MOVE LIKE YOU'RE ON STAGE!"
Tanjiro struggles with the giant boulders.
Papyrus lifts one boulder with pure enthusiasm.
"LOOK, SANS!
I AM BECOMING STRONGER!"
Sans picks up a pebble.
"…this counts, right?"
Uzui sighs.
"Not flashy enough."

Gyomei stands silent, giant flail resting on his shoulder.
"Breathe.
Endure.
Hold your stance."
He radiates pressure like a mountain.
Tanjiro trembles but focuses.
Sans stands there completely calm—
Gyomei nods.
"You have a strong spirit."
Papyrus cries dramatically:
"HE'S SO INTENSE!!"
Gyomei pats him on the head gently.

Papyrus falls to his knees emotionally.

The sky is silent over the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters.
Inside the Ubuyashiki family mansion, candles flicker softly.
Kagaya Ubuyashiki sits calmly in his wheelchair, his wife and children at his side.
His breathing is weak.
His skin pale.
His voice gentle as always.
But tonight, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps is waiting for one person.
Muzan Kibutsuji.

Muzan Appears
The ground trembles for a moment.
Black veins pour across the floor.
The air becomes heavy and cold.
Muzan steps into the courtyard.
For the first time in hundreds of years,
the King of Demons stands face-to-face with Ubuyashiki.
Muzan smiles with disgust.
"You look close to death…
and yet you still oppose me?"
Kagaya smiles softly, eyes calm.
"I oppose you because you fear death more than anyone."
Muzan's face twitches.
"You think this pathetic trap can kill me?"
Kagaya doesn't lift his voice.
He simply says:
"I don't need to kill you.
I only need to begin the end."

The candles blow out.
The entire mansion erupts—

giving their lives for one purpose:

Hidden in the smoke, Tamayo appears, wounded but alive.
She hisses through clenched teeth:

Before the mansion exploded,
Tamayo used the moment to inject Muzan with a special poison.
It rushes through his body:
Weakening him
Slowing regeneration
Attacking every cell
Changing his blood chemistry
Muzan roars in pain.
"YOU FILTHY WOMAN—!"
Tamayo smiles bitterly.
"I hope this destroys you."

Figures flash into the burning ruins:

Sans steps forward, eye glowing faintly.

"EVERYONE! STAY ALERT! HE LOOKS EXTRA EVIL!"
Sanemi grits his teeth.
"I've been waiting for this."
Mitsuri shakes with fear and determination.
Obanai's grip tightens.
Gyomei's prayer beads tremble.
All Hashira take their stance.
The final battle is seconds away.
