Chapter 6 - Niall's New Mystery

"Thank you! Thank you!" Beth shrieked. "I love you, Lu! You're the best!" she jumped up and down in the park while El and I watched her. Of course, it was fun to see how much joy I gave her. Smiling, we waited for her to calm down.

"Done?" I asked when she had settled down. El and I immediately stood up from the bench.

"So, what do we do?" I asked.

"Well, we need outfits for our dates," Beth pondered. "So, to the mall?"

"Please, no!" I grimaced.

"Oh, come on! It won't be that bad," El laughed. "Besides, you got us involved in these dates, so you're coming with us."

"Fine, but not for long," I sighed. We headed toward the shops.

^ After 4 Hours ^

"I can't take anymore!" I almost screamed.

"Only the shoes are left," El said simply.

"We've been here for four hours! Four! I want to eat and sleep!" I yelled. A few guys and girls were watching us.

"We're almost done," Beth rolled her eyes.

"If you carry me, fine," I crossed my arms over my chest.

"I am not carrying you," El frowned.

"Then find someone who will carry me," I said seriously, and she just laughed.

"Who wants to carry me?!" I yelled.

"I know who would want to," I heard Harry's voice.

"Thank God! Harry, save me from these witches! They've been dragging me around here for four hours!" I jumped onto his back. He chuckled.

"First, I didn't mean myself. Second, I'm also going shopping for an outfit. If you want, you can come with us," he said, pointing to Louis and Niall.

"I'll help you, but one of you has to carry me," I stated.

"It's a deal," he shook my hand, laughing. "Niall, take her!" he called to him, and we both looked at him as if he were crazy.

"Are you insane?" I asked. "Why him?"

"Because he works out, and he doesn't need to buy anything," he explained.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt him to carry someone. He needs to do something about that fat," I teased him deliberately.

"I am not fat! I am athletic and strong!" he objected, offended.

"Then prove it," I said mockingly, and jumping off Harry, I climbed onto Niall's back. His face looked surprised.

"What's wrong with you?" Louis laughed.

"I thought I wouldn't be able to hold her, but she's quite light," Niall mused.

I slapped him lightly on the head. "That's a compliment!"

"Then you should learn how to give compliments. That's the same as if I said: 'Harry, your hair is so pretty! It's exactly like mine!'"

"Hey!" Harry frowned.

"No offense, but it's true. Now, what do you guys need to buy? Where are you even taking them?" I questioned.

"We were planning on having a double date…" he started, but I interrupted him.

"No! Don't do that, because they want to spend time with you separately," I insisted. "Now, you need to figure out where you're taking them."

"Um... A fancy restaurant?" Louis asked.

"There you go! Now it's your turn, Harry."

"The beach?"

I started clapping. "Awesome! So, Louis, you need a white shirt, a jacket, and black jeans will work for pants," I said, and he nodded. "Harry, for you... I don't even know."

"A simple T-shirt and jeans. Don't forget extra clothes, because you'll definitely be swimming," Niall said to me.

"That'll do," I said with a shrug. "Now, carry me to the store, then!" I said, lightly kicking Niall. He grunted but didn't say anything and started walking. I saw Harry chuckling, and Louis was looking at us strangely. I was too lazy to delve into it, so I just looked straight ahead.

"Try on the others," I told Louis, and we walked over to Harry. "I think those will work," I told him, giving him a thumbs-up. We went back to Louis. "These are perfect!" I shrieked, clapping my hands.

Once they had paid, we headed toward the exit. "It's much more fun shopping with you guys."

"Maybe it's because you're being carried," Harry laughed.

"I'm surprised he's still carrying me. I thought he wouldn't last," I laughed, poking his arm muscle.

"And he says I don't know how to give compliments," the blonde grumbled.

"Who said that was a compliment?" I raised an eyebrow, and the other two started laughing.

"Alright. Let's just go!" Louis laughed again.

Niall put me down, and I got into the car.

"Play some music!" I yelled. Louis turned something on, and when I heard the voices, they sounded very familiar. Niall tensed up next to me, and Harry quickly turned it off.

"Wait, were you guys singing that?" I was shocked because it sounded good.

"Uh... no... that... um," they stammered.

"Play it again!" I yelled straight into Louis' ear.

"Don't play it!" Niall shouted.

"Come on, it sounded pretty good! Please!" I whined.

"No!" the brunette cut me off.

"Turn it on!" I started yelling and shaking his seat like a small child.

"He's driving, Luanna!" Harry yelled.

"Then turn on the music, and I'll stop," I continued shaking. He sighed and turned it on, and I stopped shaking. I started listening and heard other voices too. Liam and Zayn? I was surprised that it actually sounded beautiful.

"I'm surprised. That's not as bad as I expected. Does El know?"

"Don't you dare tell her!" Louis exclaimed.

"Why?"

"It's a surprise for her. I think I'll ask her to be my girlfriend that way," he explained, and I started squealing. "What's wrong with you?"

"You have no idea how much she's hoping and waiting for that. Beth is too," I said, and they grinned from ear to ear. "But if you hurt either of them, you'll hurt twice as much. And I mean physically," I snarled, and their smiles disappeared.

"We won't hurt them, don't worry," Louis chuckled nervously.

"Let's hope not. That goes for life. Just remember that," I said, and they nodded.

I turned to Niall, who was almost starting to laugh. "What's so funny?"

"That you're threatening them!" he started laughing loudly. "You? Threatening them?" he couldn't stop.

"I swear that when we get out of this car, you're going to feel pain," I growled. "If I wasn't going to jail for it, I'd kill you," I said and started laughing in the guys' faces. When they heard me laugh, they relaxed a bit. "And where are our games?"

"In Ohio city. And we meet with our gear at 8 AM at the stadium," he dictated.

"Thanks," I said and leaned back against the seat. When we were nearby, I asked, "And you'll carry me up to the room, right?" I gave him my best puppy-dog eyes. He sighed deeply and groaned.

"Fine," he gave in.

"Yay!" I squealed like a child.

As soon as the car stopped, and we got out, I jumped onto Niall. He started carrying me, and the other guys walked behind us. When we reached our room, I yelled:

"El, open the door!" I practically shrieked.

She quickly unlocked it and peeked out. "Look! I found someone to carry me!" I started acting like a cowboy, and then we both started laughing. I jumped off Niall. "Thanks, my painted horse. I'll call you when I need to go somewhere or when I actually want to see you," and I slammed the door in his face.

El was laughing, but her phone rang, and she rushed over to it, grinning. She showed me Louis was calling and ran out the door. I didn't care and collapsed onto the bed.

Eleanor POV:

E: Hello?

L: Hey! I have some news about Niall that even I'm shocked about! Joy was audible in his voice.

E: He likes Lu, doesn't he?" I laughed.

L: Exactly! The thing is, he's never had a crush like this since I've known him. Since fifth grade!

E: So what are you planning to do?" I asked curiously.

L: We don't have a solid plan yet, but we have one idea. Everything will start on Saturday…
