Lavayla frowned as she took a few steps forward.
"Mirek?" she called, her voice low, careful, as if speaking too loudly might make something worse.
He did not respond.
"Mirek, are you all right?" she asked again, closing the distance between them.
His body remained rigid, his posture locked in place as though he were holding himself together through sheer force. The tension in his muscles had not eased. If anything, it had grown tighter, more strained.
Then the voice spoke again.
"He is in the second trial and is undergoing an additional test from the space consciousness. There is nothing to worry about. Do not be alarmed. He will not be harmed in any way. Once he overcomes this, he will be safely brought out of the illusion."
Lavayla's brows pulled together.
"An extra test?" she repeated, her tone sharpening slightly. "What do you mean an extra test? What is happening to him?"
She stepped closer, her eyes fixed on Mirek's face.
