Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Five Months Later...

"Congratulations, Miss Liana. You're five weeks pregnat."

I felt my world shatter as I saw the truth printed in black and white. The report shook in my hand. The words were clear. The truth even clearer.

Five weeks.

Exactly five weeks since the night he came to my room. The night I let him in. The night l let him claim me, break me, ruin me.

Killian Wolfe.

My stepbrother. My first. My only. The man I couldn't stop dreaming about. Couldn't stop aching for. The

man who had touched me like I was his and whispered that I belonged to him. The man who filled me to the brim, came inside me, held me through the night–then vanished.

And now he had left something inside me.

A part of him. Living, growing.

My knees gave out the moment I stepped out of the doctor's office. My body didn't shake because I was scared. It shook because I could still feel him. The sound of my name from his mouth as he came. He had broken me in the most beautiful way. And now he had left me with a secret i couldn't hide for long.

What would I tell my stepnother? My father? That I was pregnant by his stepson? That l couldn't stop thinking about the feel of his cock pounding into me, claiming me as if I was some obsession he refused

to le go of?

My hands held the report tight. I pressed it against my chest as if I could hold my heart together with just a piece of paper. I didn't go home right away. I needed time. I needed space. I needed to lie to myself for just a little longer. But in the end, I went back home.

And that was when everything shattered again.

The moment I opene the door I heard laughter. Happy and carefree laughter. My stepmothers laugh, My father's deep chuckle. Another woman's voice I didn't recognize. Then a sound that made my blood freeze.

Killian.

I walked deeper into the house and that was when I saw them.

Killian was seated beside a beautiful woman. His hand rested lightly on her back. She looked perfect. Very classy. The kind of woman someone like him would marry. Her diamond ring sparkled so bright it made my stomach twist.

My stepmother was glowing and quite happy for her son, while my father had the smug expression of an alpha male who was satisfied with the man he had raised.

And there I stood.

Pregnant, alone, and uninvited.

"Liana," Mother said. She smiled wide as if this was the best day of her life. "You're just in time. We have the most amazing news."

I couldn't speak.

My gaze was fixed solely on Killian.

He didn't flinch. He didn't blink. He pretended as if he didn't know me.

"Killian is getting married," Mother beamed. Her voice was way too bright, too cheerful. "To Cynthia. Isn't she just beautiful?"

My throat burned and my heart tore into pieces.

I wanted to scream.

But I couldn't move. I could only look at him. My heart thumping wildly.

He was getting married?

Wow. Just wow.

He hadn't called. Not once. Not after that night. Not after he ruined me. I had waited. Every single night, I waited for a message. A call. A knock.

Anything.

But I got nothing.

Now Iwas carrying his baby, and he was marrying someone else?

I couldnt laugh nor cry. I just stared at him in disbelief.

Cynthia turned to me and then smiled sweetly.

"Are you Liana?" she asked, and I nodded. "You're so cute."

I forced a smile on my face. She didn't know.

She didn't know that just five weeks ago, he was moaning my name with his fist wrapped around himself. She didn't know he had been buried deep between my thighs, groaning about how tight I was. She didn't know that his release had spilled inside me over and over until there was nothing left. And she definitely didn't know I was now carrying his baby in my womb.

"Congrats.." I whispered. "That's.. that's wonderful news."

Killian's eyes flicked to me. Just for a second. I gave him one last look and began to walk away.

"Liana?" Mother called out softly. "Aren't you going to stay? We were just about to cut a small cake to celebrate. Come join us, sweetheart."

I turned to face her mustering a weak smile on my lips and praying for her not to notice.

"I'm really tired Mom," I said gently. "I didn't sleep much last night. I just want to lie down for a bit."

"Oh. of course," she said quickly. "You go and rest. We'll save you a slice."

I nodded and forced my legs to keep moving.

And when I got to my room..I collapsed on the bed and let my pent up emotions erupt in a stream of bitter tears.
