Chapter 2 - Chapter One

His name was Miyo — short, soft, easy to say, just like him.

Cute to an unfair degree.

Big eyes, gentle smile, and a natural sweetness in his scent that made alphas go dizzy even when he wore suppressant patches.

On campus, Miyo was practically a celebrity.

People whispered when he walked by:

"He's so cute…"

"I heard three alphas confessed today alone."

"That omega is going to end up with someone powerful for sure."

But Miyo rejected everyone.

Every alpha who approached him.

Every bouquet.

Every dramatic love letter.

Every expensive gift.

His reason was always the same, always said with a bright, earnest smile:

"Sorry. I'm saving myself for Lyon."

Everyone knew exactly who he meant.

Lyon Kang, global idol alpha, the star of Miyo's entire world.

Miyo talked about him constantly — not annoyingly, but with a pure, devoted kind of love that was so sincere people couldn't even tease him too harshly for it.

Some students joked:

"Miyo, instead of modeling for the campus magazine, you should become an idol. Lyon might fall for you instantly."

Miyo only laughed, cheeks pink.

"When I meet him, we'll just… know."

He believed that with his whole heart.

And maybe… maybe the universe heard him.

Because one sunny morning, the courtyard exploded with screams.

Students rushed to the center. Phones came out. Security appeared.

Pheromones thickened — alphas everywhere losing control from excitement.

Miyo blinked, confused, clutching his books.

"What's going on…?"

His friend grabbed his arm.

"Miyo! Lyon is here!! Your LYON is on campus!"

Miyo froze so hard his soul left his body for half a second.

"…You're lying."

"I swear on my GPA!"

Miyo's heart launched into orbit.

No way.

No. Way.

Lyon Kang — here?? In his school??

His legs moved before his brain did, weaving through the crowd with surprising speed despite his tiny frame. His scent fluttered from excitement, sweet and dizzying, causing every alpha he passed to stiffen.

And then—

The crowd parted.

And Miyo saw him.

Lyon Kang.

Up close.

Real.

Breathing the same air.

Even in casual clothes, Lyon stood out like a different species.

Tall. Broad shoulders. Intense, focused alpha eyes.

A presence so heavy Miyo's instincts quivered.

Lyon was scanning the crowd… irritated? No — distracted. Like something was pulling him.

Then his gaze landed on Miyo.

And stopped.

A jolt went through Lyon's body so visibly that his manager flinched beside him.

Miyo swallowed hard.

His heart was screaming.

His scent spiked with pure emotion — sweet, sparkling, warm.

Lyon's pupils dilated instantly.

He moved.

Straight toward the cute omega everyone adored.

Gasps filled the courtyard.

Students stepped back as the famous idol alpha walked directly to Miyo like he was the only person existing.

When Lyon stopped in front of him, he looked down, breath uneven.

Miyo tried to speak.

"L-Lyon… I'm— I'm your—"

Lyon leaned closer, inhaling, almost trembling.

"…You."

His voice was lower than any recording, roughened by instinct.

"Why does your scent… pull me like this?"

Miyo's mind blanked.

Oh.

Oh no.

Oh yes.

Lyon wasn't supposed to react to anyone.

He was famous for having perfect control, known for barely noticing omegas during interviews, even heat-drunk ones.

But now the strongest alpha in the industry was staring at Miyo like he'd found something he didn't know he was missing.

Miyo's cheeks heated.

"Lyon… I've always— I mean— I'm your biggest f—"

Lyon cut him off gently.

"Don't say fan."

His voice was almost a growl.

"Say your name again instead."

"M-Miyo."

Lyon's throat worked, like he was swallowing down instinct.

"Miyo…"

He stepped even closer.

"…Why does it feel like I've been looking for you?"
