Chapter 52 - Meeting on a Narrow Road, Killing King Kong

After a brief rest, Hu Yulun and the others embarked on a new journey.

Sunlight poured over them, casting long shadows. Hu Yulun walked in the lead, his gaze fixed on the path ahead, silently vowing to restore peace and tranquility to the Continent.

Isabella followed behind him, gently wiping the blood off her Short Sword. Her beautiful face still showed a hint of fatigue, but her eyes were filled with anticipation for the future. "Hu Yulun, what dangers do you think we'll encounter next?"

Hu Yulun glanced back at her and smiled slightly. "No matter what we face, we'll face it together."

Aiden, carrying his Greatsword, strode along, humming an unknown tune. "Haha, what's there to be afraid of? We'll chop them all down!"

Merlin silently followed at the back, his Magic Staff swaying gently with his steps. His eyes were deep, as if he was lost in thought.

They entered a dense forest, where the trees were tall and ominous, their branches intertwined, blocking out most of the sunlight.

"This forest feels eerie. I wonder if there are any monsters?" Isabella unconsciously moved closer to Hu Yulun.

Hu Yulun comforted, "Don't be afraid, I'm here."

Suddenly, a gust of cold wind blew through, and the leaves rustled.

"What's that sound?" Aiden stopped and looked around warily.

Just then, a flock of black bats flew out from the depths of the forest, swooping towards them.

"Watch out!" Hu Yulun shouted, swinging his sword at the bats.

Isabella nimbly dodged the bats' attacks, her short sword occasionally stabbing out.

Aiden, on the other hand, wielded his greatsword, knocking down the approaching bats one after another.

Merlin quickly cast a spell, and a ray of light flashed, temporarily repelling the bats.

"Run!" Hu Yulun led everyone forward.

However, they hadn't run far before a wide river blocked their path.

"What do we do? The river looks rapid," Isabella said, looking at the water with concern.

Hu Yulun observed his surroundings and found a fallen tree not far away. "We push that tree into the river and use it as a bridge."

Everyone worked together to push the tree into the river and carefully crossed.

Just as they reached the middle of the river, a huge whirlpool suddenly appeared in the water.

"Watch out, grab onto the trunk!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Isabella was almost pulled into the whirlpool, but Hu Yulun grabbed her.

"Hold on!" Aiden shouted.

Merlin kept casting Magic, trying to calm the whirlpool.

After some effort, they finally crossed the river.

As they continued forward, the sky gradually darkened.

"Let's find a place to rest, I'm exhausted," Isabella said.

Hu Yulun nodded. "There's a cave up ahead, let's go there."

They entered the cave, which was pitch black, with a damp smell permeating the air.

"Is this place even habitable?" Aiden complained.

Hu Yulun lit a torch. "We'll make do."

Just as they were preparing to rest, a low growl echoed from deep within the cave.

"What... what is that?" Isabella hid behind Hu Yulun, frightened.

Hu Yulun gripped his sword. "I don't know, but we need to prepare for battle."

A huge Two-Headed Monster emerged from the darkness, its eyes glowing red, its fangs sharp.

"Good heavens!" Aiden gasped.

Hu Yulun took a deep breath. "Don't be afraid, attack!"

They engaged in a fierce fight with the Two-Headed Monster...

The Two-Headed Monster opened its bloody mouth, spewing out a foul stench, and lunged at Hu Yulun first. Hu Yulun sidestepped, and the sword in his hand slashed towards the monster's legs. "Die, beast!" His eyes were filled with determination and courage.

Isabella bit her lip tightly and let out a soft cry, "Watch me!" Her figure moved like a ghost, circling behind the monster, and stabbed her Short Sword into the monster's back.

The monster, in pain, roared in anger. One of its heads turned towards Isabella and spat out a ball of flames.

"Watch out!" Hu Yulun was filled with anxiety and rushed forward in a flash, pulling Isabella to the side.

Aiden brandished his Greatsword and roared, "Come on, monster!" He slashed hard at the monster's tail, but was knocked back a few steps by the monster's tail swipe.

Merlin was constantly casting Magic on the side, and the magical light flickered on the monster, but it seemed to have little effect. "This monster's magic resistance is too strong!" His forehead was covered in sweat, and his expression was tense and anxious.

Taking advantage of the monster's distraction, Hu Yulun suddenly stabbed one of its eyes.

"Awooo!" The monster howled in pain, twisting its body frantically, and the rocks in the cave fell one after another.

"Watch out, everyone, get out of the way!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Isabella nimbly dodged the falling rocks. "This isn't working. We need to find its weakness!"

Aiden gasped for breath. "But its whole body is like an iron wall!"

Hu Yulun observed the monster's movements and suddenly noticed a faint light flashing from its abdomen whenever it attacked. "Maybe that's the weakness!"

"I'll draw its attention. You guys attack its abdomen!" Hu Yulun yelled.

With that, Hu Yulun charged towards the monster, constantly provoking it.

The monster was enraged by Hu Yulun and its two heads attacked him frantically.

"Now!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Isabella and Aiden quickly charged towards the monster's abdomen, while Merlin concentrated his Magic to cast a protective spell for them.

Isabella's Short Sword and Aiden's Greatsword simultaneously pierced the monster's abdomen.

The monster let out a final, despairing roar before collapsing to the ground.

"We finally did it!" Hu Yulun collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.

Isabella also sat down, exhausted. "That was terrifying."

Aiden wiped the sweat from his face. "But we still won!"

Merlin smiled and said, "Everyone was very brave."

They rested in the cave for a while before continuing on.

Stepping out of the cave, a vast prairie unfolded before them. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the grassland appeared serene and beautiful.

"It's so beautiful!" Isabella sighed.

However, this tranquility was soon shattered. In the distance, a group of Bandits riding Black Horses charged towards them.

"Halt! Hand over your valuables!" the Bandits shouted loudly.

Hu Yulun stood up, gripping his Short Sword, "Never!"

The Bandits drew their weapons one after another, advancing towards them.

A new battle was about to begin...

However, just then, a low roar came from the distance... Looking closely, it turned out to be King Kong, Godzilla's good friend. What was it doing here? Seeking revenge for its good buddy Godzilla and his family?

Hu Yulun and the others' expressions instantly turned serious, their hearts filled with wariness.

King Kong strode forward with heavy steps, each one causing the ground to tremble slightly. Its huge body cast a shadow in the sunlight, and its eyes blazed with fury, as if it wanted to devour Hu Yulun and his companions.

"This guy doesn't look easy to deal with!" Aiden swallowed hard, his grip on his Greatsword tightening unconsciously.

Hu Yulun took a deep breath and said, "No matter what it wants, we can't back down!"

A flicker of fear flashed in Isabella's eyes, but it was quickly replaced by determination. "Right, we'll face it together!"

King Kong walked up to them, stopped, and pounded its fists heavily on its chest, producing a deafening sound.

"You wretched humans, you killed Godzilla's family!" King Kong roared angrily, its voice filled with grief.

Hu Yulun stepped forward and shouted, "Godzilla and its kind were a threat to the Continent, we were protecting peace!"

King Kong glared, "Peace? Your peace is built on their deaths!"

Isabella quickly explained, "We don't want this either, but Godzilla and the others have brought too much destruction and disaster."

King Kong seemed unmoved. He suddenly raised a foot and stomped towards them.

"Get out of the way!" Hu Yulun shouted. Everyone quickly scattered.

King Kong's foot landed heavily on the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Everyone, be careful!" Merlin shouted, his Magic Staff flashing with light, ready to cast Magic at any moment.

Hu Yulun, taking advantage of the fact that King Kong hadn't retracted his foot, rushed forward and slashed at its leg with his Short Sword.

"Roar!" King Kong, in pain, angrily swung his arms, trying to grab Hu Yulun.

Hu Yulun dodged nimbly, "King Kong, calm down!"

King Kong wasn't listening, continuing to attack them ferociously.

Aiden seized the opportunity, leaping from behind, aiming to attack King Kong's back.

But King Kong reacted swiftly, turning and swinging his arm, sending Aiden flying.

"Aiden!" Isabella exclaimed in alarm.

Aiden crashed heavily to the ground, a trace of blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

Hu Yulun was extremely anxious, "King Kong, acting without reason like this, what difference is there between you and Godzilla!"

King Kong was slightly stunned, his attack pausing for a moment.

Merlin took the opportunity to cast a calming spell, trying to soothe King Kong.

A flicker of confusion crossed King Kong's eyes, but it was quickly replaced by rage.

"I only know that my friends were killed by you!" King Kong roared.

Just then, a bird's cry suddenly echoed from the sky.

A giant Phoenix flew over and landed beside Hu Yulun and the others.

The Phoenix radiated colorful light, beautiful and sacred.

"A Phoenix?" Hu Yulun looked at it in surprise.

The Phoenix spoke in human language: "King Kong, don't let hatred cloud your eyes. What Godzilla and his family did indeed threatened the peace of the Continent."

King Kong watched the Phoenix, the fury in his eyes gradually subsiding.

"But..." King Kong's voice held a hint of hesitation.

The Phoenix continued, "Trust me, peace is what we all seek."

After the Phoenix's persuasion, King Kong finally lowered his fists slowly.

"Alright, maybe you're right," King Kong said.

Hu Yulun and the others breathed a sigh of relief.

"I hope we're no longer enemies in the future," Hu Yulun held out his hand.

King Kong hesitated for a moment, then finally extended his huge palm and shook hands with Hu Yulun.

"I hope the Continent can always be at peace," Isabella said.

The Phoenix let out a cry, spread its wings, and soared into the sky, disappearing in the distance.

After Hu Yulun and the others bid farewell to King Kong, they continued on their journey...

But how could King Kong just let it go? A seed of revenge had already been planted in King Kong's heart!

After Hu Yulun and the others left, King Kong stood in place, gazing at the direction they had gone, his eyes revealing a determined and fierce light. His chest heaved violently, and the anger in his heart was like a volcano about to erupt.

"Hmph, you think you can make me give up like this? Impossible!" King Kong muttered to himself, his fists once again heavily pounding the ground, creating two large pits.

He took heavy steps, rampaging through the forest, easily snapping thick branches, and scaring innocent little animals to scatter in all directions.

"I must make you pay the price!" King Kong roared, his voice echoing through the forest.

On the other side, Hu Yulun and the others continued their journey, but they always felt a vague sense of unease.

"I always feel like King Kong won't let us go so easily," Isabella said worriedly.

Hu Yulun frowned. "No matter what, we have to be prepared."

Night fell, and they set up camp in an open space. Around the Bonfire, everyone was silent, and the atmosphere was particularly oppressive.

Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through, extinguishing the Bonfire.

"Something's wrong!" Aiden stood up alertly, gripping his Greatsword.

In the darkness, King Kong's figure slowly appeared, its eyes gleaming coldly in the moonlight.

"Do you think you can escape my revenge?" King Kong's voice seemed to come from hell.

Hu Yulun stood in front of everyone. "King Kong, do you really have to do this?"

King Kong sneered. "Stop the nonsense. Today is your death day!"

With that, it lunged forward.

Hu Yulun sidestepped, swinging his sword at King Kong.

King Kong blocked with its arm. The sword struck its tough skin, leaving only a shallow mark.

Isabella seized the opportunity, stabbing at King Kong's leg, but it kicked her away.

"Ah!" Isabella cried out in pain, falling to the ground.

"Isabella!" Hu Yulun was filled with worry.

Aiden charged forward and engaged King Kong in close combat.

King Kong possessed immense strength, and Aiden gradually found himself at a disadvantage.

Merlin continuously cast Magic, attempting to disrupt King Kong's movements.

King Kong roared in anger, "Your little tricks are useless against me!"

Just then, Hu Yulun spotted King Kong's weakness.

"Attack its eyes!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Hearing this, everyone focused their attacks on King Kong's eyes.

King Kong hastily used his hands to shield his eyes, but Aiden's Greatsword still managed to scratch his cheek.

"Roar!" King Kong was completely enraged, its attacks becoming even more frenzied.

Hu Yulun and the others were exhausted from dealing with it, and they were all wounded.

"This isn't going to work!" Hu Yulun gasped.

Just when they were in dire straits, a melodious flute sound suddenly came from the sky.

King Kong's movements abruptly stopped when he heard the flute.

A mysterious old man slowly walked out of the darkness.

"Stop, King Kong," the old man said.

King Kong looked at the old man, the rage in his eyes gradually fading, and becoming docile.

"Master, this..." Hu Yulun looked at the old man in surprise.

The old man smiled slightly, "Hatred only brings more pain. Let it go, King Kong."

King Kong lowered his head, seemingly deep in thought.

Finally, King Kong turned and left, disappearing into the night.

"Thank you, Master," Hu Yulun and the others said gratefully.

The old man waved his hand. "All things in the world have spirits. Peace is the eternal theme."

After saying this, the old man also disappeared.

Hu Yulun and the others looked in the direction King Kong had left, their hearts filled with emotion.

After this incident, they were even more determined to safeguard peace and continued on their unknown journey...

In the days after King Kong left, Hu Yulun and the others didn't dare to relax in the slightest. They traveled day and night, hoping to leave this area, which could potentially be affected by King Kong's rage again, as quickly as possible.

That day, they entered a deep, secluded valley. The peaks on both sides soared into the clouds, and a thin mist filled the valley floor, making it seem mysterious and eerie.

"Be careful, everyone. Something feels off about this place," Hu Yulun said in a low voice, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily.

Isabella followed closely behind him, her short sword trembling slightly. "I have a bad feeling about this."

Aiden snorted, "What's there to be afraid of? I'm here!" But his grip on his greatsword tightened nonetheless.

Merlin silently began chanting the incantation for Defense Magic, his staff emitting a faint glow.

Suddenly, a gust of wind howled from the depths of the valley, carrying with it the angry roar of King Kong.

"It's King Kong! It's chasing us!" Hu Yulun's heart sank.

King Kong emerged from the mist, its body covered in wounds, its eyes filled with madness and determination.

"You won't escape!" King Kong roared, its voice echoing through the valley.

胡 Yulun stepped forward. "King Kong, why are you so stubborn!"

King Kong didn't listen at all, directly swinging his huge fist towards them.

Hu Yulun quickly dodged. "Everyone, spread out and look for an opportunity to attack!"

Isabella quickly ran behind a giant rock, observing King Kong's movements.

Aiden went around behind King Kong, attempting to launch a sneak attack.

King Kong sensed Aiden's intentions and turned to kick.

Aiden was kicked away, crashing heavily into the mountain wall.

"Aiden!" Hu Yulun shouted anxiously.

Aiden struggled to his feet. "I'm fine! Keep fighting!"

Merlin seized the opportunity to cast a spell, sending beams of light towards King Kong.

King Kong used its arms to block the magic and continued charging towards Hu Yulun.

Hu Yulun nimbly dodged King Kong's attacks, while simultaneously searching for an opening.

"Over here!" Isabella suddenly shouted, attracting King Kong's attention.

King Kong turned and lunged towards Isabella.

Just then, Hu Yulun leaped into the air and thrust his sword towards King Kong's back.

King Kong, in pain, roared even more furiously.

"I'll make you all die here!" It attacked everything around it in a frenzy.

Rocks in the valley tumbled down, and the scene descended into chaos.

Hu Yulun and the others dodged and weaved under King Kong's attacks, gradually losing their strength.

"This won't work! We have to find a way to subdue it!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Isabella gasped, "But it's too powerful!"

Just when they were feeling desperate, a bird call suddenly echoed from the sky.

A giant eagle flew over, clutching a mysterious Vines in its claws.

The eagle threw the Vines towards Hu Yulun, "Use this to trap it!"

Hu Yulun took the Vines. "Everyone, attack!"

They charged towards King Kong, wrapping the Vines around it.

King Kong struggled fiercely, but the Vines tightened around it.

"You won't trap me!" King Kong roared.

Hu Yulun and the others held the Vines tightly, preventing King Kong from breaking free.

Finally, King Kong exhausted its strength and collapsed to the ground.

"What do we do now?" Aiden asked.

Hu Yulun looked at the exhausted King Kong, a hint of pity in his heart. "We can't kill it. Maybe we can talk to it."

Isabella hesitated. "Are you sure this will work?"

Hu Yulun walked up to King Kong. "King Kong, we don't want to be your enemy. Everything we're doing is to protect the peace of the continent."

King Kong was breathing heavily, the anger in its eyes slowly subsiding.

"Is that really true?" Its voice held a hint of doubt.

Merlin stepped forward. "Yes, we can work together to find a way to coexist peacefully."

King Kong was silent for a long time before finally nodding.

"I hope you're telling the truth," King Kong said.

Hu Yulun and the others breathed a sigh of relief. A crisis had finally been averted.

They walked out of the valley with King Kong, continuing to strive for peace on the continent…

King Kong would believe them? His huge eyes still burned with fury, and his thick nostrils exhaled angry breaths.

"You hypocritical humans, do you think you can fool me like this?" King Kong roared, struggling to break free from the vines on his body, each struggle causing the ground to tremble slightly.

Hu Yulun said with a sincere expression, "King Kong, we are sincere, we didn't lie to you."

King Kong sneered, "Sincere? Hmph, I saw my friends killed by you with my own eyes, is this what you call sincere?" As he spoke, he exerted force again, and the vines made a "creaking" sound, as if they would break at any moment.

Isabella hastily explained, "That's because Godzilla and the others were destroying the continent, threatening the lives of everyone."

King Kong roared angrily, "So what? Friends are friends, you are the murderers!"

Aiden couldn't help but shout, "Why are you so stubborn! We are already trying to reconcile with you!"

King Kong turned his head sharply, staring at Aiden. "Peace talks? In my opinion, this is just your delaying tactic!"

Merlin attempted to soothe him, "King Kong, please calm down."

King Kong wouldn't listen. With another surge of strength, it finally broke free of the Vines. "Today is your end!" It roared, lunging towards Hu Yulun and the others.

Hu Yulun immediately shouted, "Scatter!"

Everyone scattered, dodging in different directions. King Kong's fist slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater.

"Run!" Hu Yulun shouted, glancing back to observe King Kong's movements as he ran.

Isabella, panting, said, "This isn't working. We have to find a way to restrain it again!"

Aiden said as he ran, "How? It won't listen to us!"

Just then, King Kong spotted Merlin, who was running slower, and charged towards him.

"Merlin! Watch out!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Merlin turned around in terror, raising his staff and trying to cast a spell to defend himself.

But King Kong was too fast, and was about to collide with Merlin.

At the crucial moment, Hu Yulun threw himself forward and pushed Merlin away.

King Kong's fist brushed past them.

"Hu Yulun!" Isabella and Aiden exclaimed.

Hu Yulun got up from the ground, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth: "King Kong, are you really going to kill us all?"

King Kong roared, "You're forcing my hand!"

Hu Yulun's eyes were resolute. "If that's the case, then we'll have to fight to the death!"

Everyone regrouped, ready to face King Kong's next attack.

King Kong charged again, and Hu Yulun and the others worked closely together, engaging in a desperate struggle with King Kong.

Their bodies were covered in more wounds, and their clothes were tattered, but their fighting spirit hadn't diminished in the slightest.

"Even if we die, we won't let you succeed!" Aiden roared.

King Kong's attacks were also gradually slowing down; it seemed to have expended a lot of energy.

Just as both sides were at a standstill, a melodious song suddenly drifted down from the sky.

The song seemed to possess a mysterious power, causing King Kong's movements to gradually cease.

A beautiful Elf slowly floated down from the air.

"Stop, King Kong. Hatred will only bring you more pain," the Elf said gently.

King Kong looked at the Elf, the fury in its eyes slowly replaced by confusion.

The Elf walked in front of King Kong and gently stroked its head. "Only by letting go of hatred can you find inner peace."

King Kong slowly squatted down, lost in thought.

Hu Yulun and the others watched King Kong nervously, not daring to relax in the slightest.

After a while, King Kong raised his head and looked at Hu Yulun and the others: "Perhaps, I can give you another chance. But if you deceive me again, I will definitely not let you go!"

Hu Yulun quickly said: "We will definitely not let you down!"

The crisis was temporarily resolved, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. However, the road ahead was still long, and whether they could truly achieve peaceful coexistence remained an unknown...

But Merlin did not intend to let King Kong go. King Kong had attacked them repeatedly along the way, seriously affecting the team's normal progress, and because of King Kong, the team members were all injured! If this King Kong was not destroyed, there would still be future troubles! Merlin thought to himself that he must eliminate this King Kong!

Merlin tightly gripped his Magic Staff, his eyes filled with determination and resolve. He looked at Hu Yulun and the others, saying, "We can't go on like this anymore. King Kong must be eliminated, otherwise we will never have a peaceful day."

Hu Yulun frowned and said hesitantly: "But, we just reached a temporary truce with it."

Merlin interrupted furiously, "So what? Look at the injuries we've suffered. Are we just going to let it go and wait for it to attack us again?"

Isabella looked worried. "But if we attack first, won't we just provoke it again and trigger an even fiercer retaliation?"

Merlin snorted coldly, "Rather than waiting to die, it's better to take the initiative."

Aiden gritted his teeth. "Merlin's right. We can't let that beast continue to threaten us."

Merlin began to secretly prepare a powerful magic, his eyes focused and cold.

Meanwhile, King Kong was also cautiously observing them from the distant Forest. It was also filled with conflict and unease, its vigilance towards Hu Yulun and the others undiminished.

One day, the team passed a narrow Canyon during their journey. Merlin felt this was a perfect opportunity.

"Attack here!" Merlin said in a low voice.

Hu Yulun still wanted to dissuade him: "Merlin, let's think about this..."

But Merlin had already waved his Magic Staff, and a powerful magical light shot towards King Kong.

King Kong sensed the danger and roared angrily: "You liars!"

The battle erupted instantly, and the Canyon was filled with magical light and King Kong's roars.

Merlin kept casting powerful magic, muttering incantations, and sweat rolling down his forehead.

Hu Yulun, helpless, had no choice but to draw his sword and join the battle.

Isabella and Aiden followed closely behind, engaging in a fierce confrontation with King Kong.

King Kong angrily swung his huge arms, smashing towards everyone.

"Watch out!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Isabella narrowly dodged, but accidentally tripped and fell to the ground.

King Kong seized the opportunity and pounced on her.

"No!" Aiden roared, rushing forward and blocking King Kong's attack with his greatsword.

Hu Yulun took the chance to stab at King Kong's leg.

King Kong, in pain, attacked even more furiously.

The entire Canyon fell into chaos and danger.

Just then, a clap of thunder suddenly echoed from the sky.

A mysterious light descended from the sky, enveloping King Kong and everyone else.

After the light dissipated, a Mysterious Elder appeared.

"Stop, all of you!" the old man said sternly.

Everyone looked at the Mysterious Elder in surprise.

The old man looked at them and said slowly, "Hatred only brings more hatred. There is no end to your fighting like this."

Merlin said unwillingly, "But it…"

The old man interrupted him, "Only by letting go of the obsession in your heart can you find true peace."

Under the Mysterious Elder's persuasion, everyone and King Kong gradually calmed down.

Finally, they decided to let go of their hatred and jointly seek a way to coexist peacefully…

Just then, Merlin and Aiden seized the opportunity to launch a surprise attack.

Merlin's eyes instantly became sharp, and he tightly grasped his Magic Staff, rapidly chanting a complex incantation. The tip of his Magic Staff flashed with dazzling light, and powerful magic surged around him. This is our only chance; we must succeed! Merlin thought to himself, his forehead bulging with veins, his expression somewhat distorted by extreme concentration.

Aiden gritted his teeth, raising his greatsword high above his head. His muscles were tense, and his eyes were filled with determination and killing intent. "King Kong, die!" he roared, pushing off with his feet and charging towards King Kong like an arrow released from a bow.

At this moment, King Kong was somewhat distracted by the appearance of the Mysterious Elder, and it didn't anticipate that Merlin and Aiden would suddenly attack.

Merlin struck first, waving his Magic Staff forward, and a powerful beam of magic shot straight towards King Kong. King Kong was caught off guard by the sudden attack, stumbling and letting out a painful roar.

"Good opportunity!" Aiden seized the moment, rushing in front of King Kong, and with all his might, he swung his greatsword down hard at King Kong's neck.

King Kong wanted to dodge, but it was too late. The greatsword deeply cut into its neck, and blood splattered everywhere.

"No!" Hu Yulun and Isabella exclaimed simultaneously.

King Kong's eyes widened, filled with disbelief and anger. It struggled to fight back, but its injuries were too severe; it was beyond saving.

Aiden put more force into it, pulling the greatsword out and slashing down again.

King Kong let out a final, desperate roar. Its massive body crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"We did it!" Merlin shouted excitedly, a smug smile on his face.

Aiden was panting heavily, looking at the fallen King Kong, "Finally got rid of this trouble."

Hu Yulun rushed in front of them, angrily questioning, "How could you do this? Didn't we agree to coexist peacefully?"

Merlin said indifferently, "Coexist peacefully? It brought us so much trouble and danger; only by killing it can we eliminate future troubles."

Isabella, tears streaming down her face, said, "But, is this really the right thing to do?"

Hu Yulun said with a pained expression, "We broke our promise. This kind of victory makes me ashamed."

As they were arguing, the Mysterious Elder shook his head and sighed, "You are blinded by hatred. This kind of killing will only bring more disaster."

However, it was all too late. King Kong was already dead, and their hearts were filled with deep guilt and unease...

Hu Yulun looked at King Kong's enormous corpse, his eyes filled with pain and self-blame. He clasped his head with both hands, his voice trembling as he said, "We were wrong, terribly wrong!"

Isabella knelt on the ground, tears flowing continuously. "Why did it come to this? We could have found a better way."

Aiden stood to the side, the greatsword in his hand hanging limply. His eyes were somewhat dazed. "I...I just wanted everyone to no longer be under threat."

Merlin looked at them, the excitement on his face gradually disappearing, replaced by a trace of regret. "Perhaps, we really were too impulsive."

The atmosphere around them suddenly became extremely heavy, as if even the air had solidified.

Suddenly, a low rumble of thunder echoed from the sky, and dark clouds quickly gathered.

"What's happening?" Aiden looked up, his face showing a look of terror.

The Mysterious Elder frowned, "This is the wrath of heaven and earth triggered by King Kong's death. Your killing has brought disaster."

The wind howled, whipping their clothes.

Hu Yulun gritted his teeth, "No matter what, we have to face it."

Isabella stood up, wiping away her tears, "Yes, we can't run away anymore."

Merlin clutched his Magic Staff tightly, "Then let's face it together."

As a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, a group of dark creatures swarmed from all directions.

"It's Shadow Wolves!" Aiden exclaimed.

These wolves were agile, their eyes flashing with an eerie red light, and their fangs were sharp.

Hu Yulun charged forward first, "Kill!"

Isabella and Aiden followed closely behind, engaging in a fierce battle with the Shadow Wolves.

Merlin continuously cast magic from behind, providing support for them.

One after another, the Shadow Wolves fell, but more and more charged forward relentlessly.

"This isn't going to work!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Isabella gasped, "We have to find their leader."

Just then, a huge Shadow Wolves appeared in front of everyone. It howled, and the surrounding Shadow Wolves attacked even more frantically.

"That's the one!" Aiden charged towards the Shadow Wolves leader.

The Shadow Wolves leader opened its maw and lunged at Aiden.

Hu Yulun arrived just in time and blocked the Shadow Wolves leader's attack with his sword.

Isabella took the opportunity to circle behind the Shadow Wolves leader and stabbed a short sword into its hind leg.

The Shadow Wolves leader yelped in pain and turned to pounce on Isabella.

Merlin cast a powerful magic, driving the Shadow Wolves leader back.

"Everyone, attack together!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Everyone worked together and launched a final attack on the Shadow Wolves leader.

After a fierce struggle, the Shadow Wolves leader finally fell to the ground.

Seeing this, the other Shadow Wolves scattered and fled.

Everyone collapsed to the ground, exhausted.

"This is all our fault." Merlin lowered his head, his voice filled with guilt.

Hu Yulun looked at the sky, "But we can't always dwell on our mistakes. We need to find a way to make amends."

Isabella nodded, "Yes, we must take responsibility for our actions."

The Mysterious Elder appeared again. "Since you recognize your mistakes, there is still hope. Now, go forth and seek the path to redemption."

They stood up, their gazes resolute, and embarked anew on their unknown journey...

Along the way, Hu Yulun remained silent, his brow furrowed, his heart constantly berating himself. He clutched the sword tightly in his hand, as if it were his only support. It's all my fault. If I had firmly stopped them back then, King Kong wouldn't have died, and this series of disasters wouldn't have happened. He thought to himself, his face filled with remorse.

Isabella noticed Hu Yulun's expression and gently walked over to him, comforting him. "Hu Yulun, don't blame yourself too much, we all bear some responsibility. What we need to do now is to try and make amends." Her eyes were filled with gentleness and encouragement.

Hu Yulun looked up at her, nodded slightly, but the gloom in his eyes had not yet dissipated.

Aiden seemed somewhat irritable; he walked with large strides, kicking stones on the side of the road. "Hmph, what's the use of regretting it now? We can only look ahead!" he said in a gruff voice.

Merlin followed silently behind, his expression grave, and the Magic Staff in his hand seemed particularly heavy. "I shouldn't have been so impulsive, letting hatred cloud my judgment," he muttered to himself.

They entered a gloomy Forest, where the trees were tall and dense, and sunlight could hardly penetrate.

"This place feels eerie. Do you think there's any danger?" Isabella said with some unease.

Hu Yulun cautiously observed the surroundings. "Be careful, everyone, stay alert."

Suddenly, a chilling laugh echoed through the forest.

"Who's there?" Aiden shouted.

A black-robed Warlock slowly emerged from the trees, a strange smile on his face.

"You foolish lot have committed an unforgivable sin," the Warlock said coldly.

Hu Yulun gripped his sword tightly. "What do you want?"

The Warlock laughed loudly. "Your souls will be imprisoned here forever, paying the price for your crimes!"

Saying this, the Warlock waved his Magic Staff, and a cloud of black smoke rushed towards them.

Merlin quickly cast a spell, forming a barrier to block the smoke.
