Eliron perceived everything in slow motion. His fingers brushing Cavi's clothing, the fire erupting out of his swollen body, and the gust of cursed mana that surged out like a storm.
Luckily, he had made enough contact!
There was an audible ring in the air as Eliron teleported them into the skies above the castle, just as the rippling explosion tore through the sky.
The sky opened up like torn fabric, the air was laden with streaks of purple, and dark fire spread through the clouds.
Eliron had barely managed to defend himself in time. Part of his body was bruised from the blast, while a blue shield flickered in front of him, just before he deactivated the spell.
He let out a tired breath in the form of a deep sigh. If he had been just a second late… there was no telling how much damage would have been done to the castle. Alexander was wise to have not woken him up till they were ready.
