Terrified screams erupted from the prisoners as they watched the guards' heads fly into the air.
For a brief moment, time seemed to freeze.
The mine boss stood rooted to the spot, his entire body stiffening as his heart pounded violently against his chest. His pupils shrank, his mind unable to process the gruesome scene unfolding before him.
The two undead servants moved like harbingers of death.
One of them appeared in front of a fleeing guard in a blur of motion and swung its axe without hesitation.
"Noooo!" the guard screamed, fear etched deeply across his face as he staggered backward.

The axe struck with brutal force, cleaving his body cleanly into two halves. Blood, organs, and shattered bone splattered across the ground in a grotesque display.
The metallic scent of blood instantly filled the air.
For a heartbeat, the prisoners stood frozen, their minds blank.

"They're killing everyone!"
