Chapter 64 - secret cave

(* unseen &hidden )

Izuma, who had gone deeper, stopped in front of a cave.

It was a mysterious cave, the interior swallowed by pitch-black darkness.

"What kind of cave is this? I can't see a thing..." Sai said, squinting into the void.

They had nothing with them to light the way. Sai checked his pockets nothing.

"We should have at least brought something to keep us warm," he grumbled. He picked up two stones from the ground and started striking them together.

"Give me five minutes... fire is coming!"

[Tuck... Tuck...]

He desperately tried to spark a flame. Jinso watched him for a moment, then stepped forward. He pulled his sword and held it up into the darkness.

"Abyss, wake up!"

With a light tap, Jinso's sword began to glow like a blazing torch. The light flooded the cave as if the sun itself had stepped inside.

"Is this enough?" Jinso asked, glancing at Izuma.

Without a word, Izuma walked ahead, and Jinso followed. Haru went over to Sai, who was still trying to make fire outside.

"Hey... come on, let's go."

"Wait, the fire is almost here!" Sai insisted, still rubbing the stones.

"We don't need it, come on..."

When Sai looked up and saw Jinso walking away with a glowing sword that lit up the entire path, he muttered, "Couldn't he have done that first?"

Sai and Haru entered the cave. Izuma was carefully examining every corner of the walls.

"Why is he looking so serious? Did he lose something?" Sai whispered from behind.

"Be quiet, Sai. Let him do his thing," Haru replied, starting to look around the other side.

Suddenly, Sai spotted something in the glow. "Jinso, bring the light over here... what is this?"

Jinso moved the light slowly toward the spot. Haru joined them. On the cave wall, something was written in an ancient language words they couldn't understand. Izuma came over too.

"What is it?" Haru asked, looking at Izuma.

"I don't know... but it looks like something very important is written here."

Next to the text, there was a drawing. It looked familiar to Haru.

"This... I've seen this somewhere before," Haru said, reaching out to touch the image.

"You guys think about it; I'll be right back," Sai said, walking out of the cave.

Haru, Jinso, and Izuma tried hard to figure out what it meant, but they had no luck.

"Nobaya said it was dangerous here... then what is all this?" Jinso asked. "He didn't say anything about humans being here. If this place is a death trap, then what's with this cave and these drawings?"

Izuma remained silent, staring intently at the wall. The markings looked like a mix of letters and strange symbols perhaps clues left behind.

Meanwhile, Sai was sitting on a rock outside the cave. With nothing else to do, he leaned back to lie down.

Suddenly...!!!!

He felt a presence. Something moved rapidly from one tree branch to another. Sai's power had a unique trait: whenever someone human or Zek was nearby, his body temperature would drop as a warning. He felt that chill now.

Slowly opening his eyes, Sai stood up and looked around. The others were still inside. No one had come out. He stepped off the rock and looked toward the forest ahead. There was a movement in the brush.

Sai immediately unsheathed his sword, gripping it tight. His blade began to hum with energy. He knew for sure someone else was out there.

Who could it be?....
