Kellen's mouth moved against hers with the same quiet certainty he brought to everything else. Thrre was no hesitation and no hurry. His thumb traced the edge of her jaw, tilting her face just so, and Aurora forgot about the cold entirely.
She forgot about a lot of things. Her fingers tightened in the fabric of his tunic, deepening the kiss. His tongue brushing hers, and a low sound rumbled from his chest that she felt more than heard.
Then heat pressed against her back.
Elixir.
His chest met her spine, his arms sliding around her waist from behind, and his lips found the curve of her neck, making her gasp into Kellen's mouth.
"You meant something else entirely," Elixir murmured against her skin. His voice had dropped into something darker. "Didn't you."
It wasn't a question.
Kellen pulled back just far enough to meet her eyes. His pupils had swallowed the blue of his irises. "She did."
