She fixed him with a serious gaze. "That's because I have witnessed it myself, the way Asher protects you."
Hunter frowned. He seemed ready to tell her she's wrong with her conclusion, but before he could, she spoke.
"He knew from very beginning that you poisoned him and wanted his wolf gone, and yet he never confronted you let alone revealing the truth to everyone. For an Alpha, losing his wolf would have been worse than death. And yet he didn't hold you accountable. These past two months, you kept trying to make him lose face in front of the tribe, and yet he didn't say anything to you. You don't even say a word to him, but he always makes sure that you are living in comfort."
